ampeg svt 2 pro question

i recently picked up an ampeg svt 2 pro. after a good solid practice i turned around and noticed the standby light had turned from green to red. i was running the gain at 12 oclock and master at about 2 oclock so i dont thing i was pushing it too hard.

i read that its a tube issue so i replaced all the tubes and followed the directions on biasing. the next jam after about six songs the same red light.

i turned off the stanby and took a ten min break and when i came back the light was green again. i got about half way through another song and it went red

any advise on whats wrong? is this common? is it simply a heat issue?

IIRC, it means there is a fault somewhere. It could be any number of things. I'd advise to take it in to a tech and get it checked out.

If the amp still operates normally then the detect circuit has a fault. If the amp shut down, then worry, otherwise have it looked at when you can.

thanks it doesnt shut down or have any loss of volume or sound. i guess i see green turn to red and i freak out a bit
