Ampeg SVT-4Pro problems/questions

Jerrold, do you happen to know what the part is for the big bridge rectifier? needs replacing as one side is giving out +80 and the other is -53v, the part number on the side does not come up on Mouser or digikey, thanks!

The 21-207-01 is just a 25A rectifier, IIRC 400V, with leads out at one side only.

Might be difficult to locate. be sure you need it first, and don't have just a bad solder joint. They are good for that.. Then try at LS Electronics for the exact part, LS bought a lot of NOS stuff from Loud Technologies. Carlos ("Dave") Bedoya is the owner, and designed some of the Ampeg product while at SLM.

otherwise, you could use any regular wire lead type and simply wire down to the board. Might be more reliable.

Jerrold, I got a 2508 package, its about a quarter of the thickness of the KBPC2504S package, unfortunately, the leads are reversed, I can mount upside down and bring the leads from the top to the board, but I am somewhat concerned with the package thickness, it so much smaller than the original, do you think that could be a problem regarding power dissipation? would I be better off trying to wire in the leadless GBPC, which is much thicker, like the KBPC? thanks!
