The biggest problem I see using DeOxit is folks using the wrong type D-5 is the best for the application) and using way too much.

Just the tiniest amount possible is plenty. Too much can ruin the pot.

Usually it’s a permanent fix provided the pot hasn’t been damaged by a previous attempt with too much, or some other cleaner.

Hello everyone, I am writing to you because I would like some advice: I am an owner of the vr micro stack but I would like to switch to something more powerful; I was very fascinated by the svt 7 pro. I would like some advice on which speaker to match: I was thinking of two svt 210 av speakers or directly a svt 410he.. what do you think? Thank you

If you don't mind the extra 5 inches in depth, I would probably go with the 410he, as it will sound deeper and closer to the classic 810e, and you will be able to squeeze a few more watts out of the 410he, as 2 210av will have a 16-ohm load and limit the 7 PRO to something like 250 watts.

I use a 410he right now in my band and alternate between a 7 PRO and a TC Electronic mini-head. Plenty of volume for heavy rock type music. I always thought a 410 looked a little dinky next to a guitarist's 412, but I've been keeping the casters on lately and those couple extra inches in height actually make a visual difference.

Been using the SVT7Pro for about 8 months now. So far I’m liking it quite a bit. I did have to bring the CAL Grizzly pedal back in to give me a little bit of tube feel and sound, but it’s fairly light and gets the SVT sound very well. No gigs yet, just some rehearsals.

However, I’ve had an issue where occasionally I was getting distortion when playing the amp through headphones and speakers. This isn’t overdrive distortion, it was bad distortion, ugly. Sent the amp to a tech. Isn’t sure what caused it but “sees” the distortion on the occiliscope. Says it’ll need a whole new PCB, but thankfully it’s under warranty.

Does the clipping light flash when the distortion occurs?

Hitting the front end is a somewhat softer clipping from the single tube, but turning the gain up too high gets you a harsher solid-state clipping.

Both types of clipping will register on the "peak" light.
