There are many opinions on the SVT-7PRO so here's a poll to get an idea of how many satisfied or dissatisfied owners/former owners there are.

Here's the rules:

a: be nice

that's it. If there's a poll question/choice I should add let me know but hopefully I have the options covered.

So is this a poll of the merits of the amp? Or is this a poll of "who's 7PRO cuts out" vs. "who's works"?

Not trying to be snarky...this amp's discussed so often that it seems like if it works, its awesome, but theres also many loud voices questioning its reliability

yeah I thought about posting this for a couple days. But sort of the who's works/who's does not to get some idea how many are actually having an issue with the amp. This I'm certain won't give an accurate account of ALL SVT7's out there but hopefully the poll will break it down somewhat as it seems MANY TB'ers participate in polls but rarely post.

brave man. last Ampeg gear poll (PF350/500 I think) basically got eviscerated very quickly.

will be interesting to watch.

i wouldve voted "ive loved every ampeg Ive had, but I love ampeg for no doubts reliability, and I'm not sold on this one", but that wasnt an option... youve failed at reading my mind over the internet ;-)

I played a different brand of micro amp that cut out on me today. Really respected brand made in the USA, too. I don't see any threads about how it's got a faulty design just because of a few faulty units.

+1

Even though it's not my bag, the 7 Pro is a great amp, and if there are issues, Ampeg stands behind it.

When I went searching for a Mesa Carbine M6, and got a great deal on an early M9, I learned that it is possible to fix an amp that has broken, and then be very very happy with it.

My advice to would be 7 pro owners: Do it, and for heavens sake, worry more about what notes you play when, and less about the TB scuttlebutt.

just read the same exact comment from you on another thread (PF350/500 V). What are you going for here ? is this some sort of new preemptive strike strategy :D

maybe you should start one ? ;)

will there be fireworks ?

happy 4th of July everyone :hyper:

I read that too and thought the same thing. I wonder if this mystery brand has a transferable warranty.:hiding:

I've played one at a music store a few times and I really liked it, but I'm not sure I want to get one based on all of the bad stories I've heard.

I completely understand that statistically I probably wouldn't experience an issue, and that any other amp is just as likely to have an issue, but still.
