I cranked one up at GC a couple of weeks ago, a sales guy came running over LOL. I think they thought I was gonna blow it up, I just wanted to see what it could do. To be honest, I really liked it. I would buy one today if I didn't already have so much other gear!!

Got mine Wednesday and gave it a test run with my Walkabout head, and I am impressed. I saw some people mentioned these things were thin, and I couldn't disagree more! Plenty of low end for my tastes, and super punchy as well! I will definitely be getting another one as soon as I sell my 6x10!
It's gotta be 26lbs, because lifting it with one hand is pretty effortless. Plus, now I think about it, the shipping label said like 29lbs.

Well at a gig last night, I was using 2 of these cabs and playing with a drummer who is fairly loud, but not one of those smashing, loud as possible drummers.
I could hear myself easily and i was very satisfied with my tone coming thru. i wasn't cranking the volume at all.
I'd be using one of these with a higher powered amp. I've read that they open up with more power. Right now I'm using a very small 1x15 w/300 watts and it gets the job done. Wondering if one of these will be able to replace it. Anyone using just one with a higher powered amp?
I've plugged my Fusion into one, and it sounds great! I would be careful with the volume knob though.
I didn't really push it very hard...I didn't want to damage anything. I think I remember Chef used the cabs with a MarkBass head. But not positive. Maybe he'll chime in.
Quick question before i buy one of these, they claim to be rated at 200watts RMS, does this mean that if i have a 160watt Traynor YBA 3 Custom special i can turn my master volume to 10 and it will only put out 160 watts? thus not hurting this 200 watt cab?

in theory. in reality, you can drive any cab as hard as you want, but when you hear it starting to fart out, turn down straight away. you will have to try it.

I am new to the world of bass and having been a guitar player for roughly 8 years now I was looking to see if I could save some money by doubling up on gear. I was wondering what kind of sound I could expect from running one of these 210AV cabs from my mesa boogie nomad 100?
It's got 100W of tube power which (same for both guitar and bass amps, I would assume) is enough for me in my apartment, recording. But I want to make sure I could get the same kind of lows and harmonics playing through a kickass amp like the nomad, even though it is built for guitars.
Any thoughts? Should I abandon the idea and spend the $300 on a true bass amp/combo?

This cab sounds promising, and looks great. Just came across this thread. I've been saving for the Aguilar Jack Casady cab (2 x 8" + 5" midrange), but the price difference has me reconsidering. I think the Ampeg doesn't extend as low as the Aggie, but I haven't tried either yet.
