well don't expect to dime it, but ampeg's pretty honest about their cab power handling, so it should take everything it says it should. but be on the safe side and don't get carried away.

Just purchased one 210. Gigged, sounds and works really great, now I think I'll get another one! I'll post some of my 210AV experiences eventually.

(The Casady 2x8 Cab is elusive for some reason, and I haven't been down to ordering one without trying first.) maybe someday one will turn up in my neighborhood.

Thanks!!! Now I have couriosity about the speakers. I tried to remove the grills but they are like glued or something. Did you try this procedure?

It should be fine.
That cab can handle more power until you expect to get crazy loud with it. I tried it and it has that Ampeg tight/sealed cab sound in spades.

I would get one for practice if I get a good used one at a fair price.

Nope, but I know how to get them easily off...

unscrew one screw from the logo about halfway, then wrap it in cloth and get a pair of pliers and pull on the screw until it pops off.

Hi,for anyone else reading this thread, I use an Ampeg SVT 210 HE (Ported) which I imported from the good 'ol USofA, have to say it's a fantastic sounding cab, shame it's discontinued! Didn't check out the physical size compared to the micro AV cab tho...

Another great little Ampeg cab, is the SVT806HE (again discontinued...mmnn), it's like a portable fridge, 8 x 6" eminance speakers, on castors and fits into the boot of any small car!

I also use two Phil Jones Piranah cabs, which are super light and sound HUGE!!

Check out Phil Jones Bass. This stuff is unbelievable and he has a pirahna line of micro suitcase amps and cabs. Super light weight and the technology is rediculous. You have to see it for yourself. It might possibly be the most light weight and quality micro stuff on the market today. You pay for what you get which is unsurpassed tone and quality. Check it man. Please!!!

hey i was wondering if anyone has any experience running a pair of these with and orange AD200B, and if so how they found the volume compared to other cabs. just picked the head up and am looking for a more modular cab solution than my current Avatar 2X12, and possibly a bit more of an old school flavour.

I've tried the ampeg micro 210 cab. i found the sound to be thin...thats just my opinion! i did try the acoustic mini combo right next to that one and it had a waaaaay bigger sound. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger. waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay

If you are going to add another cab, why not just bring your 410 HLF and be done with it, instead of lugging 2 smaller cabs?

how much volume difference would the extra 50 watts you would gain by having it stock at 4 ohms instead of 8 ohms really make? very little i suspect. so making it 8 ohms just makes much more sense to me.

I tried both at GC with their mated heads. The Acoustic sounded muffled compared to the ampeg. There was very little upper mids and highs and every bass sounded the same through it. It had maybe a touch more low end than the ampeg but not enough to make a big difference. The Ampeg had a much more pleasing sound and seemed to get louder IME/IMO.
