Ampeg vs Marshall vs Line 6?

Profile says he plays in a high school band in NJ, so I'm thinking it's a teenage beginner in both bass and writing skills.
I will not vote on this.....there is not a descent amp to vote for! Ampeg use to be a rock solid amp maker, but GK, Aguilar, Hartke, Eden, SWR (RIP), and TCE have taken the ranks as far as amps go. And those are only the "main stream" players!

It was a failed marketing bot. Carrots always sell well, although maybe including Orange was an attempt by a non-English speaking bot to include carrots. Orange isn't carrots, so it is a failure.
EDEN is the best
Of the above listed I go for Orange, but overall I really love the Ibanez Promethean series. Great vintagy tone, yet it pulls off modern tones with the tweeter and some added highs just as well. Reasonably priced, durable as a rock and easy to carry. What's more to love?
Btw, I found most amps 'clashing' with my P/flats, making it sound either too muddy or too glassy. The Promethean really gives me that fat, beefy low-mid tone with just enough highs for definition I've been looking for.

Hopefully no offense to Line 6 fans, but that is hardly a name I think of when I think "bass amp".

I've used one a few times. It didn't do it for me. There are definitely better all-tube amps out there for cheaper.
I have tried many bass head and what's best for me is Marshall VBA 400. Best kept secret of the industry.
