That was a weak evasion. The Behringer product is a nearly exact copy of the BDDI, save for using cheaper components. If you can't own that then you can't be taken seriously. Behringer's model is completely about copying other successful products and producing them at a lower price point. You either admit that or invalidate whatever else you may say. There really is no discussion on this - it is self-evident to the vast majority of music equipment consumers with more than 5 years in the game.There's nothing new under the sun in the world of audio electronics. With few exceptions, all audio gear uses the same basic building blocks as all other audio gear. This is an opinion based not on hearsay but on decades working in electronics.
By the way, they look completely different, so let's not get into the "trade dress" argument.
