Angling my amp up away from my shins?

I have am ampeg 410 and am playing a pretty big gig labor day weekend and it tends to get really loud up on this stage, is there a product, or a trick I can use to to put a 22 or 45` angle on my cab?? Get it projecting twords my ears and away from my knees??

I don't have any suggestions for a tilt setup, but you could always set the cabinet on top of two side by side milk crates with a piece of black felt to cover the crates. That raise it by about 15 inches.

NO MILK CRATES ONSTAGE...EVER!!! And covering a milk crate up in black felt looks like a milk crate covered in black felt. Milk crates onstage = death of professionalism.

The problem with the 410he is the wheels. I tried it once, and it was a bit of a nightmare to keep it from rolling, so I finally gave up on it and just leave it on the floor when I get one supplied.

Bought it without tires, I remember hearing about some "tilt Trey "im a carpenter, I could probly build something, but this gigs comming up really fast

Without wheels, you can take a 2x2 about a foot long, paint it black, and wedge it in under it. You could make a wedge, too, similar to the AmpWedge, which might elevate it a tad higher, but the 2x2 piece works for my tilt-back needs.

A few years back I saw a guy with an SWR 4x10 on what looked like a restaurant style tray stand... Having hefted a cab like that a few times I would say that the stand had to be considerably stronger... Nice height for a monitor though.

I do the same thing. I will not play a gig without tilting my 210.

Piece of 2x4 or 4x4 under the front edge depending on how much tiltback angle you want.

You could always just set it on a milkcrate. If you cover the crate with a sheet it'll look really professional.

I'm Canadian so I use hockey pucks on each corner stacked to get the right angle.

Yea, I stack 2 115s just to hear myself through the upper, otherwise, use a monitor.

Had the same problem while helping with sound last weekend for a band, the bassist used a 410 blowing his shins, the 6'5" guitarist had similar problems standing too close to his 6x12 stack, but denied it.


This is a common band issue... if the guitarist doesn't have his rig pointing at him, the sound levels will often be ear shattering where it does hit (other band members often)
