I'm extremly happy with my basses as well :

2012 '62 AVRI P (Squier VM P backup)

and

2013 Pawnshop Bass VI (Squier VM Bass VI backup)

would like to get a P/J (maybe even with rounds??) and maybe another Squier Bass VI (also with rounds??)

and I definitely want a Reddi. Other than that, my rig is exactly what I want it to be.

I'm happy with what I've got. In the country band I use a MIM Jazz bass into my Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0-12T combo. In my acoustic projects I use my Strunal 50/4 upright or my Tacoma CB10e Thunderchief ABG into a GK MB200 and a Genz-Benz STL-8 cab. I also have a Ampeg BA112 I sometimes use with the upright (better bottom). I gave up my Ampeg rig a couple of years ago. SVT to two 8 ohm Ampeg 410's. I don't miss it a bit. I buy my gear to fit a specific purpose, and don't keep what I don't need.

I'm GAS'n for a Guild Starfire bass (reissue) and will have one when I find one.

I love my SVT a LOT more with an 810 vs. the two
410s setup, both tonally and physically, hahaha!!

I love my rig so much I have 2 identical ones. SVT-7 into a Mesa Bogie PowerHouse cab with4X10 + 1X15 + horn. For smaller gigs I use a Hartke 4X10 cab with the SVT instead or an Eden 2X12 combo. And the active 18" if really needed.

I have an Eden D410XLT, but I am jonesing for a Schroeder 6x10. I worry about weight and although the 610 is a larger cab, it is lighter (the Eden is right at 100 lbs w/casters and the Schroeder would be at 78 - prob 82 with casters). Most of the other 6x10's are hovering at the same weight as my 410 with many being heavier. As for my amp - my SVT 7 is a keeper.

I think I AM satisfied as I have been using the same setup for a few years and GAS has not gotten to me yet, 5 string Bongo HH, Genz Benz Shuttlemax 12 and Genz NeoX212. Light, easy to move, and sounds AWESOME. Only thing better for me would be 2 NeoX212's!

Don't gig anymore, and most likely never will. Really have no desire to at this point.

Completely happy with my GK MB212 II and MBP115 II cab.

Have enough basses that cover most tones I'd want. Have a Guild Starfire on order and no thoughts on buying anything else at this point.

Not to say I'd kick an Orange 212 Combo with the 212 cab out of the house if one came to live for a while.

I have a good story on this topic.

For the last few years I have been constantly acquiring gear to find that perfect tone, J Bass, P Bass, Rick, Gibson... But It all kept coming back to the modded school bus yellow 51RI P with a duncan custom shop stack in the 51 position that I'd always played. After much searching I settled back into the old favorite and moved onto amp rigs.

I've moved through GK, Eden, Fender and Traynor gear in the last two years, from 8x10 cabs to 15's and 12's and I settled in to probably the most affordable combination of the bunch. A tech 21 RBI running in front of a traynor bassmaster 400 with tube pre into a ybx1510 setup- all gear I'd had for years.

I realized that I was chasing GAS and not tone, as I cycled through all this gear I've realized I really like my tone of 10 years ago.... I now use an a/b to figure out if I like new gear better but it keeps coming back to the old rig. So I guess I am finally content.

With that said I'm trading away some gear right now in the classifieds haha!

I definitely am. I use a stock MIA Jazz into either a Mesa M6 or Walkabout through either a Bergantino NV610 or CN212. Simple yet versatile setups. Love it!

It seems many here are on an un-ending quest for...............?
I would love to hear from anyone whose search is over. Is that possible? Are we being gluttons? It's easy to get caught up it it- I'll admit to it. Perhaps this extends to greater societal problems: Divorce rate, porn addiction, consumerism, debt/bankruptcy, etc.
I'm getting way deeper than I intended to. Anyway....
My rig: Schecter Stiletto Studio 5 (with Chromes), Hartke VX3500 combo amp. Both bought used.
Playing my $100/person bowling alley bar gig, what more do I need? Sounds good to me and anyone who ever cares to listen and comment, my guitar stays in tune and amp is plenty loud.

Just something that came to mind today.

I know sites like Talkbass tend to play up the gear/materialism side of things as if we're all supposed to "gear up" like full time arena playing signed musicians.

Hey, I've got a darn good "dayjob", and two more kids to put through college. And yeah, I like to take a good vacation a few times a year. So, a few more priorities than just bass gear, you know?

I've been playing through pretty much the same rig for 7 years now, a Fender Precision into a little Ampeg combo.

I've got a few other amps, as I'm also a guitarist plus two of my three kids play guitar, and sure I've got a GAS/wishlist (see my profile ha ha) but if I never got it I would still be happy. I'm VERY thankful for what I have.

I have ONE great sounding bass, ONE quality instrument cable, into ONE nice sounding and decently featured bass combo- a setup that cost less than $600 (bought everything used) and has given me more mileage with more bands and great musicians than I would have thought possible.

Anything more (all tube rig, or lightweight micro setup, etc) would just be icing on my cake!

Yes, I'm very satisfied. A Geddy Lee J. Two fEarful 15 Subs, powered by PV IPR DSP 1600, with PV6 mixer as a pre. I also have a hot-rodded PV 115 powered by a B-word 300w. The only things I need (that I could absolutely live without), is a Chris Squire sounding 4001, and a 110 cab (with a 3010lf) pushed by a micro amp.

Here are my rigs. 1972 Ampeg V4-b, Late 60's Ampeg 8x10 is one option. Hartke rig - 3500 amp, 4x10 XL for small rooms, or with 4x10 Transporter cab in addition to the XL for larger rooms. For practice - Ampeg 350H head(not shown) with Hartke 4x10 Transporter Cab. 10 basses to choose from.
