Unpopular opinion of the day:

I don't like ketchup that much, and tend to use it sparingly if at all. I like fry sauce for my fries, and no, fry sauce is NOT ketchup, though ketchup is an ingredient.

Not a lot of TBers for Idaho, but my Utah peeps will know what I'm talking about.
What are the ingredients for fry sauce?

Thumann hot dogs on the grill get mustard (and not that bright yellow kind) and relish. Sabrett’s get mustard and Kraut. Maybe those onions in the red sauce, but I don’t care for it. No Ketsup! That goes on burgers and fries if you don’t have any cider vinegar. Now if you’re having a real Italian hot dog from Jersey on half of that round bread, there’s two dogs, peppers and onions and potatoes. And still no Ketsup!
I’m not sure about those Chicago dogs, and as for that deep dish thing you call a pizza. Anything that you eat with a fork and knife is a casserole. But I do like your city.

I like malt vinegar on my fries, maybe a dip of salsa or Heinz & hot sauce. I prefer quick-seared, crispy onions to raw, & a lightly toasted bun. For me.

See, now that I could eat, particularly the first and last of them. Not heart attack food like those meat dogs - ugh!

I looked for a Sabrett's hot dog eating contest tweet that said each dog was 300 calories (the champ ate about 22,000 calories), but found this nutrition roundup.

Was shocked that a childhood fav, Oscar Mayer, had less sodium & fat (& other stuff) than a Sabrett's version. Another surprise is brats, turkey & chicken dogs often have more sodium.

Everything in moderation - I don't eat hot dogs often, but I'll still get a dog or two.
