I had a hot dog at a private function we played at yesterday. I thought it was important to involve myself in some relevant, timely, field research. I used mustard, yellow relish, and sliced pickles as previously stated. It tasted like the right thing to do...

With reports of Lonestar Tick bites leaving people with red meat allergies this year, I worry that my 5yo is going to starve to death as a result of a tick bite. That hot dog/bun toaster looks pretty cool to me right now, he pretty much survives right now on hotdogs. You could tell the kid 'Try this donut' and as soon as he hears the word "Try" it might as well be liver and onions.

Mustard is fine but optional on burgers and dogs. Less so on hotdogs, but either way it's in TINY amounts. I like chilli and mustard, but the chilli has to be free of onion chunks. Barf. Can. Not. Do. Onions.

I bet that I ate hot dogs for lunch 3 days out of 5 all through my 4.5 year college career. I broiled them and turned my mom's range oven black in the process. I still have the metal pan I used for broiling - it's pretty much jet black.

For me ketchup has but two uses:
As a base for certain barbecue sauces.
Occasionally on onion rings.

Hot dogs need mustard.
Fries need vinegar, and salt, and occasionally mayonnaise (yes, I'm a 'damn Euro').

I fully support any hot-dog heresy others wish to indulge in. It's a free country, man.

My own flavor of sin is jalapeno relish and cheese, or gnarly brown mustards.

Yes, yes I do with mustard and relish and if it is a Italian Hot dog with potatoes and peppers. I do not is it is a chilli dog

Absolutely, especially on a Dodger Dog, ketchup, mustard, relish and onions. Just went to a game and got one with pulled BBQ pork, and yes, I added everything on top of the BBQ sauce.

I had to vote carrots. I'm not grossed out by ketchup on hot dogs. It's okay, but not my preferred condiment. I would rather have mustard and onions, a chili dog, or a Chicago dog. Ketchup is maybe item 5 or 6 on my list of suitable condiments for hot dogs.

It's not about how much you eat hot dogs. It's the tick bite leaving you unable to eat hot dogs (or any other red meat, but right now he pretty much survives on hot dogs)
