fr tho, the boys were all coked up, drunk & stoned when writing & recording everything after the first album, most of the songs call for three guitars if you’re sticking to the recordings, and they are unintentionally not tight. Is he bringing in two other guitarists and a duffel bag full of sunshine to every rehearsal?

I don't see a problem. Maybe the rest of the band "has it down." Maybe... Just because GEEZER can do what He wants... well... He's GEEZER. Maybe... the crowd has heard the ALBUM 10,000 TIMES. Maybe... the guitar player wants to DO IT RIGHT. Maybe... he/she has some gigs lined up, to where THIS MATTERS, and he/she ARE A PROFESSSIONAL. They aren't difficult lines to master. They are fun/easy/AWESOME. Do a little bit of work.

A hypothetical one hour live recital of Black Sabbath’s Greatest Hits Album Minus Two Guitars And Minus Delicious Heavy Tape Compression On Each Instrument Track And Then The Whole Band Mix lead by someone for whom stage presence is not a priority listed in their ad… is that a show you or anyone you know would want to burn gas to go out of their way to see? A bunch of mannequins playing un-danceable geriatric delinquent music with the added bonus of it being note-for-note and probably having the huge amount of sloppiness sterilised out?
