Another CL gem

"The only guitarist in that area who is ready and able to deliver 12 Black Sabbath songs."

How big is that area, 2 square meters?

Pretty sure most guitarists who play any kind of rock music have played 12 Sabbath songs. At any open jam that's open to rock being played, if you wait long enough, someone will play a Sabbath song because everyone knows Sabbath songs. I haven't played any Sabbath tunes for over a decade and i could probably pull a few from memory if i had to. But apparently AL-X over here is the only one in their area.

Also, is AL-X the name Al with an X added to it to make it sound cool? Or is it short (but just as long) for Alex? Or is it short for like, Albert Xavier? These are the things i want to know.

Dear AL-X,

If you need to spend a year getting "the strings tight" on twelve songs, then I don't think you are a guitarist who is ready and able to deliver anything but pain and misery upon your (theoretical) bandmates (this notion is further reinforced by the semi-belligerent tone of your ad).

Sincerely,

HubbardsFate

P.S. "AL-X" is the worst name (?) I've ever heard.

Probably Zan-X would be more appropriate…

I just responded moments ago questioning his state of perfection when he failed to spell "rehearsal" correctly. I wonder if I should explain how I was too busy learning Zeppelin and Steely Dan. . . Nah, I'm an AH, but I think I'm done.

Same bass lines as the original CDs? Think he'd settle for the parts from the original LPs?
Right? Like, so many things to unpack in that one little comment: The original parts were distributed on vinyl and 8 track, not CDs... AND, who the h3ll even has CDs anymore? CDs are simultaneously no longer relevant and also not even the original recordings. Yet, AL-X demands you play like the CDs.

jayzuss.

He’s as professional as you’d expect from a Floridian with the knowledge of punctuation you’d expect from a kindergartener.

Leave him alone. By agitating him you risk pushing him closer to becoming a mass shooter.

Geezer himself has never played the songs exactly the way they were recorded, so I certainly don't think anyone else should feel a particular compunction to do so.
Geezer can do whatever he wants to do to Sabbath bass lines because he created them. We mere mortals have to play them exactly like Geezer did in the original recordings.

Wow. I guess you’re not hardcore unless you live hardcore. Interesting dude.
