Hi all....I'm glad to have found this forum. I've been playing guitar for about 30 years now but got recruited to play bass at our church and I'm really digging it. I'm really psyched about playing bass now and it makes me wonder why I wasn't really interested in it 10 years ago - I guess I just never really had an opportunity or reason to play back then.
Now it seems the inexpensive bass I bought just for recording isn't totally cutting it and I know from my experience over at thegearpage.net that these forums can be very informative and enjoyable. I'm really in knowledge-absorption mode right now with regard to basses and, soon enough bass amps so I appreciate the wealth of info that will be here.
It's also nice to see a healthy "for sale" section since I'm shopping for a bass now and I suspect that I'll find better stuff here than I will on ebay.
