New to the forum.
I'm a fairly passionate "recreational" bass player. Bass is the latest of a long line of instruments that I've messed with over the years. I was an Organ Performance Major at the University of Washington for a while, and so fairly competent at theory etc, if not the greatest bass player.
I picked it up to play along with my 16 year old son who is a very serious 80's shredder and plays 2 or 3 paid gigues a month with the band he's in.
So far we've played together twice and all the effort has been worth it. I also play in a wierd band that rehearses once a week. We pretty much suck, but its still fun.
