Any All-Tube Users?

Unfortunately it just doesn't put out enough volume for me (and it is a pig to move around). Still there is no I way I would part with it for the world.

Ouch...
There was a time when I would have parted with the thing. However it was my gramps, and he passed on some time ago. So for a long time the only reason I held on to thing was because it was his. Now I am realizing how great of an amp it is as well. I am even thinking about restoring it as well.

So... If anyone knows of places where I can get the original style grillcloth and new tubes... please let me know! ;)

Thanks,
-Nate

How's ths sound;

Eden preamp and 1000 w Eden pwer amp crossed over, driving a 1-18 EV in a theil cab for lows, an Eden D210XLT for the highs, A 72 Ampeg V-4 driving an Eden D 4-10XLT with the highs and lows rolled off.
Total solid clean lows and highs, tube warm mids with a full set of tone controls to tweak. It blends so you can't tell there is a SS amp in there. It sounds like a 1,ooo watt all tube amp!

I'm gettin' there. My 69 SVT is on it's way. It will be shipped Thursday, from Buffalo.
I am very excited. I hope it will do what I think it will.

If all goes well, I may sell my Navigator preamp, and put my power amp in my stereo system.

THREE vintage SVT's,a Fender 400PS, a Wizard Bass 500, a Trace Elliot V6 and VR400, an Eden VT300, a Traynor YB1A, three Bogen MO200'a, an Altec 342B PA head, an Ampeg B15N, and a few others, the only S/S in them are the rectifier diodes and some preamp circuitry in the Eden. Yeah, it's safe to say I'm an all-tube user.:cool:

OH-MY-GOSH!! I knew you were the tube amp guru, but never knew how much. You should change your handle to PSYCHOTUBEDUDE !!

You know, there was a time I would have said your nuts but as a recent convert from SS to all tube amps, I now understand - and applaude!:D

That is way cool! I can't imagine it being too much horsepower for you. It must carry real good voodoo.

BTW, our band is working on "Hard Act to Follow" & "Got No Shame" this week.

Not great covers for the public, but good songs for our band. We are fortunate to have a female vocalist that has a wide range. We get to play a lot of male sung songs.
