My favorite band ever. I've seen them live at least 50 times and they never disappoint! The last time I saw them,I got heckled by Neil for having been front and center at their last 8 consecutive shows. They were just about to start,and Neil was doin' the crowd warm up thing,looks down and says laughing "Holy Sh**,again! Aren't you in the band yet?" Then at the end of that show he asked ME what to play for an encore. I requested Dragonfly,and they actually did it! I was floored because they NEVER play that one live..
To Lethgar..Jam Room is a great album! I have two versions of it,one w/8 tracks and the other w/15..love 'em both!

Wow, very cool. Were you at the infamous Flint show? (the best live recording by any band, ever).
The last time I saw them in Raleigh in 2011, my kids got to meet them by their bus. Neil came out and chatted with them for a while, then JP, who was out getting something to eat, came back, saw my youngest (13) with a drumstick keychain hanging from his belt loop started a nice drumming conversation with him.. These guys are just too cool. I was out front on line and talking with folks, unaware of all this, and my kids come running back "hey dad!..."
Not bad for my youngest's first show.

And if you mean The Machine Shop,yep..seen them there 4 times IIRC.. The last time for me was a couple months ago at "Ground Zero" up in Traverse City..

They're pretty well known and liked up here,and the club I mentioned (Ground Zero)is a pretty small venue (capacity of 350 maybe)so it's always like a personal party atmosphere.

Profits of Doom and Tight Like That. I am our bands resident Clutch fan and convinced the other guys to go with those 2 songs, though like you, I know most all of their songs. Some deceptively tricky drumming in there too. We tried Red Horse Rainbow once and, well, it didn't quite work.
My kids both play in bands and they've covered several, like Oregon, Drink to the Dead, The Regulator (not a Clutch song, but their version is killer), Prison Planet, Dragonfly, etc.
I've played out once, and we covered Tim Sult vs the Greys & 7 Jam.
Burning Beard, Pulaski Skyway, King of AZ, Slow Hole, Wicker are my favorites to play.

Myself and a drummer are considering starting a Clutch cover band. Ultimately is going to be an originals band but in the style of Clutch. Ironically we need a bassist since I'm going to play guitar in this project. So...if anyone in Mass wants in, hit me up.

Oregon (from the Flint show), Brazenhead & Wicker are ones that always have me reaching for the volume knob.

Im going with Animal Farm...me and Neil kill that song together.
I love the fact that Clutch writes a song like Animal Farm,Bacchanal and Juggernaut and totally melt your face...yet can also come up with great songs like Let a Poor Man Be,Gravel Road and land of Pleasant Living.
Been a fan of Clutch since 1993 when I saw them on the Transitional Motor Speedway tour. I've seen them close to 30 times since then. One of my favorite shows of all time was seeing Bakerton open the "Evening With Clutch" at The Patio in Indianapolis. That place held MAYBE 200 people.
Clutch has also turned me on to a myriad of awesome bands. They bring the coolest cats out on the road with them. Dub Trio, Five Horse Johnson, Stinking Lizaveta, Danko Jones.
I love how they continue to evolve as a band. The 20 some odd years between Pitchfork and Strange Cousins has been quite the musical journey.
Clutch has also turned me on to a myriad of awesome bands. They bring the coolest cats out on the road with them. Dub Trio, Five Horse Johnson, Stinking Lizaveta, Danko Jones.
I love how they continue to evolve as a band. The 20 some odd years between Pitchfork and Strange Cousins has been quite the musical journey.
