Any dedicated pedal parametric EQs out there?

Are the mods so involved that following them would require use/understanding of the schematic? Since Boss prints the part numbers on the board itself, simply indicating which parts to swap can often be adequate: http://www.ovnilab.com/articles/cs3modding.shtml

Unfortunately it is not that straight forward. There are a few wires that need to be connected between points of the PCB.

Enjoy.

I take no responsibility for damages to MT-2 or anything else.

(the quality of the drawing was much better but the talkbass server reduced the size/resolution - sorry)

Wow, you're right--that is quite involved. It might take less time to assemble an EQ pedal from scratch! :p

It is much simpler than it looks.

After you removed all the components in the list, everything else doesn't take too long.

It sounds really nice. If you have an MT-2 that you don't need I definitely recommend the mod. Personally, I think is worth buying a MT-2 on eBay and do the mod.

Anyone know of something else now that we are in 2011?
heyHman - I've been looking for a pedal preamp / di with sweep mids, and found the following (not what I'm looking for but seem to have a bit of love around TB) - do a search and you'll find more info:
Empress ParaEQ
Carl Martin Preamp Can't select the Q on this it seems, but close??

Also, the Invalid Link Removed and LR Baggs Venue DI have bass / treble and two bands of sweepable mids if that helps...

Also, the Artec can occasionally be found for sale in the US. And if you want something for general tone shaping as opposed to surgical control, then check out the Fromel Shape. The Shape is one of the best-sounding EQ pedals anywhere, but it is not surgical, and it is not suited to somebody who wants to select frequencies by eye, looking at the knobs. :)

Hi, I think this can be of interest:

WMD - Acoustic Trauma

I saw this in a local shop in Sweden, it also has an output level knob now.
Has anybody tried this yet?
Looks very nice, especially that the three filters are overlaping, gives plenty of possibilities. But maybe the range are too wide, eg 31hz - 1.6khz, makes it harder to dial in the exact frenquencies?
