I need to up my artwork game. I have limited resources for computer software and printers, anyone have any advice on great looking low-cost options?

After doing the research for a few days, the best option is to paint. Acrylics with coating. If you're a good artist, it will come out great. That's how I made my compressor. The only other way is to either buy machinery or find somewhere to use theirs.

I can let you know tomorrow what I got exactly, but more or less it was:

Cutting mat
Scalpel
Acrylic paints
Acrylic finisher
Brushes of various sizes
Gesso for painters
Sandpaper

Sandpaper the surface, gesso it in layers with a day of dry time between each layer, paint with an hour of dry time between each layer, apply the finished and let dry off.

You can mix the gesso with a paint of your choice to make an X colour base.

Haven't posted anything lately so I'm about due. This is my tribute to JohnK and Frank Appleton. Their collaboration on the GK Rails thread was amazing and inspiring to say the least. I had some pcbs made using the latest schematic and the latest version of the boost circuit. Unfortunately, when I converted the schematic to Eagle I missed the part about not connecting the X and Y part of the circuit that has the distortion detection. It took me awhile to figure out why it wasn't working.
Once I figured it out I cut a couple traces and added a jumper wire and Viola, GK Rails sound. This design is amazing and LOUD. I like running it with the boost on and fairly clean , getting a little grit when I dig in.
GREAT BIG Special THANK YOU to @johnk_10 and @boomertech for all their hard work , energy , time and money in making this design and sharing it with the world. My hat is off to you gentlemen.

i just finished the enclosure for my EHX 1590B germanium od clone. i have the original (and actually dig it) but it's huge so i wanted to make a smaller version with top jacks.

I'm controlling the ADG2188 from a Raspberry Pi Zero. Next is logic for putting devices in a prescribed order.
Then a GUI. Then saving and recalling presets.

I could link it to my NuX NBP-5 controller code to have both the switching and NBP-5 change presets at the same time.

JKos, I've been thinking about doing this as well. Are you controlling the ADG2188 over I2C?

First two UV prints from Amplifyfun in Portland. Gorva boxes from Lovemyswitches, also in Portland. Great guys to work with in both cases, and reasonable prices.

Yeah, 4 layers of powder coat on those two. The bottom one shifts colors with lighting or viewing angle changes, can't wait to see it in person. Six bucks apiece for the print jobs including a digital proof render, unlike Tayda. They do laser and CNC work too.

Yeah, about that "chameleon" finish. Same box in both pics.

Pics don't really do it justice but you get the idea at least. Only took a week from first cold contact to delivered in my PO box yesterday, pretty sweet. Super easy guy to work with too.
