I love them to death.
I love how everyone makes fun of them for being a "gimmick" band when their music speaks for itself. Sure some people find it boring, but a lot of us find it to be catchy, straight-to-the-point hard rock.

Thanks for the heads-up. Interesting stuff...I like that it's melodic and not completely grunged out and obnoxious. I've kind of gotten away from guitar-driven music in recent times but I rather dig this. I could do without the costumes - not because it offends me (I don't believe in angels OR demons, myself), but just because I find the whole KISS-throwback theatricality/always appearing in makeup to try and shroud the band in mystery thing kind of gimmicky and silly. They don't need it - the music is good, so let that be enough, eh?
These guys seem to have some talent and musicianship but I hear no originality at all.

WHY would anyone decide to make a happy, cheerful song into a dirge like this? If you're going to cover something, cover it appropriately.
I've been pleasantly surprised by Ghost. I'm normally very picky when it comes to modern hard rock/metal, but I quite enjoy what they do. Sure, the whole robes/mask thing seems a little bit daft, especially when equated with Kiss, but (and I could be wrong) I thought the motivation behind the costumes was that most of them also worked with more prominent metal bands and wanted to remain anonymous for this project?
It sounds like a collection of b-sides from the 80s and the the tone is so digitized I'm not entirely sure I wasn't all programmed. Ton of pitch correction on the singer as well
I think they're great. When I first heard their debut album I thought "whoa, how come I've never heard of this great 70s band?" and to my surprise, they released that album in 2010. Cool stuff
I only found out about this band today, but already watched a few songs and interviews on YouTube...
From what I gather, it's just a bunch of dudes that straight-up do not want to be recognize while they're out in public. No problem there, I've often debated pulling a Daft Punk as well if I were to ever make even a half-ass attempt to "make it"... It also was a smart way to look "the part" for the show only, but be able to maintain a corporate 9-5 if the band never took off. I'm a pretty clean-cut guy, and as much as I'd love to play metal, it would be hard for to me to fit in on stage... I'd have to make a compromise somewhere.
I also think it's a bunch of normal, non-satanic musicians who simply wanted to do some somewhat harder rock than what they were doing in another band, but didn't want to do the normal aggressive/angry type of heavy metal... A pretty smart way to pull that off is to make songs celebrating the devil. They get the sound and imagery that goes along with metal, fit in with the beliefs of other bands and fans, but don't have to scream about death and bloodshed... Granted, I've only listened to a few songs, but I dig it.

I go back and listen from time to time, and have for years.
I've given them hundreds of chances, but never find the music to live up to my expectations of what I want them to sound like based on their appearance.
Mostly disappointing.

i so badly want to like it. love the presentation, but i just can't get with the music. it bores me to tears. i'm not saying i'm better by any means, but i just can't "click" with it.....and i love metal/rock at all tempos.
I love the bass line to body and blood.

Love their performance on Colbert! Also have to lol at the audience members who were not in on the whole thing 
I saw there live stuff at the golden god awards before I ever heard any recorded stuff. I stand by my statement. And dont pretend that bands have never syncd to backing tracks live.
