Those trails look sweet. Really makes me want to ride. My last final is thursday then I can finally head home and hit my favorite local trails.

...But it's ok for horses to be on em, tearing up the dirt and pooping. I never saw a mountain biker take a crap in the middle of the trail...
What frame is this ? Orbea ?
Alot of sweet trails around here for sure. Alot of 'em have this though:![]()
So, you don't ride them or just risk a fine. But it's ok for horses to be on em, tearing up the dirt and pooping. I never saw a mountain biker take a crap in the middle of the trail.
This seems to have died with one post after mine, so, I will post another picture and kill this thread off properly.

EDIT: it might be the hanger!
I've figured out that the crappy shifting on my Trail Smurf is due to a ridiculously bent cage on my rear SRAM x.9 derailleur. This is the second, possibly third, SRAM derailleur I've had on this bike. Meanwhile, the Shimano Deore on my much older hardtail still functions flawlessly.
I've always loved the snappy shifting of the SRAM rears but I'm getting tired of replacing them. I could a) get another SRAM x.7 or x.9 rear, or b) replace my shifters while I'm at it and change over to Shimano.
Anyone want to talk me into/out of either scenario?
I'm a big Hope fan. Run their MonoMini , still very good after a couple of intense years.Had my first real ride with my Hope Tech X2 brakes and they're unreal!
I also run their SS hub , loud as Hell freewheeling but feel very strong.
Instant clutching.

Going with their newer X2 evo for my new Build too.

Nice Rock Garden BTW !
Nice rock garden indeed. I for got to take pics of my ride today.
... I dig those loud freewheel hubs!
I swear all I hear when I'm going down hill or coasting is the whirling zing of my Sun Ringle Dirty Flea rear hub echoing through the woods.
Love that sound.![]()
I don't want to jinx myself, but it looks like my new bike will be a Stumpjumper 29 HT. Shhhh. I was never here.
