any smokers switch to Vaping yet? [PART 2]

Still using RDAs exclusively, Still avoid clones at all costs, still vaping LKA Single Barrel Jack in a Torch RDA on my brown GLV with Sputnik tip, Sweet-Vapes Organic sweet cinnamon in a Cap-it-all topped IGO-W on my Touchwood mini with Weapon tip (thinking of picking up a Sat22 for it), and Virgin Vapor Hummingbird fuel in a Hornet RA on my Orange GLV with Sputnik M-10. Single coil in the GLV, Dual in the Touchwood... all from twisted ribbon with organic cotton and all at 0.8ohms. I haven't rebuilt any of them since July, just rewicked every week or 2.

Those look very nice!!

What's an RDA? I'm new to all this...

Thanks, I've had the orange one since Jan 2011, got the brown one in June, the Touchwood a year ago. RDA stands for 'Rebuildable Dripping Atomizer'... RBA usually means a rebuildable tank.
That makes sense. We had shop for vaping just open up in my town, and I hit it up right away. Right now I have a kangertech proton 2 and vision adjustable voltage battery thing, but I am looking to upgrade to an RDA and a box mod of some sort.

I've been vaping since March of this year. And have been very successful with it . . . I think I've smoked less than a dozen cigarettes since starting. I was a pack a day guy for 25 years. But, I've had a very unfortunate turn off events this past week. I work in the corrections field, and my place of work has banned all forms of e-cigs on the property. Seems they now have developed synthetic thc in liquid form that can be used in them, and someone got caught with a tank of the stuff. It totally sucks for myself, and any others who have no intention of getting high, and have improved our health by switching to vaping. Hopefully it never becomes a paraphernalia charge in the eyes of the law. It's very unfortunate that a few have to ruin it for the masses.

Ugh. Just ugh. No one should be putting that kind of thing in their bodies...That is most unfortunate.

Pretty much. Might as well ban cigarettes, too, because you can roll up something illegal in cig paper.

Well, rolling papers have been banned from the beginning, for obvious reasons. But that doesn't stop some from tapping the tobacco out of an ordinary cig and refilling it with spice or weed. Or from dipping them in the liquid synthetic and smoking them. I've argued this very point (among others) with the powers that be.

I've got an appeal in progress that would allow staff to continue the use of PV's, but have not heard back yet. They say it wouldn't be/look proper for staff to use them while banning them for the clientele. Not good role-modeling so to speak.
But there are all sort of things that staff can do and they can't that is allowed . . . Smart phones, internet access, etc. Staff doesn't rub their noses in it and they understand, or at least accept, the inequality.

Hopefully in the end they will side with their staff members, or I might be job hunting in the near future, as I have no intention of going back to cigs and don't want to get into trouble for having contraband on the property. Wish me luck!

I started with an EVOD and got a vision spinner because I liked being able to regulate the voltage because it gives you a different experience at different levels, but mostly because of flavor. the flavor was better at the higher voltages.

Yup. I'm sure that will be in my future someday. :)
It's quite the money and time sink that I didn't expect. :) Very interesting, and very enjoyable. Hopefully safe.

0.8 ohms? Are you using a single or double coil?

The Touchwood is a regular sized atty and a higher mah battery so it is set with dual coils (1.6ohms each). The other 2 are tiny and just have singles. I use twisted ribbon kanthal that makes for some nice vapor production with decent flavor. There are all kinds of freaky coil designs... what I'm making isn't pretty but it lasts MONTHS and vapes constantly.

Cool. And these are mechanical mods I take it? Is there an advantage to using a DNA30 or similar digital chip or is that totally user dependent?
