DON"T CHAIN VAPE IT!
I tried everything to quit smoking. I was hooked bad. This is the only thing that has worked. Been off analogs for about 2 years now. I had considered e-cigs, but I never tried them until James made this thread.
Thanks James, you've probably added years to my life.

Thanks guys. Have to do some digging around, probably have more questions. Be at least a week before I could buy any of this stuff anyway. Some is probably available in headshops/smoke shops here, but I don't know what's quality/what's cheap knockoffs/what to look for etc.
Posted before I saw your reply James. Thanks for the tips.

I have smoked since my late teens, I'm 40 now. Heavy. About 1-3/4 packs a day, can get over 2 if drinking or staying up late. Just as a "place to get started", what would you suggest?
From what little I can gather, between 24 and 32 mg. Maybe 50/50 VG/PG and some sort of battery/juice system that can handle sucking on it all day with some left over......oh...and preferrably taste like an "analog"<-----funny term, as much as possible at least to start with.
Marlboro smoker here....reds or "mediums", nothing "lights" or weaker and no menthol. I figure if I can get past some of the initial cravings/shock for the real thing, I could then try other flavors, lower dosages gradually, etc.
Once again man, thanks for this.
i am very similar ... i smoked camel lights 1.5-2 PAD for over 20 years. 2 years ago me and the wife went RYO with light tobacco and FF tubes ... still 1.5-2 PAD.
i started vaping 24mg juice a little over 4 months ago, with a couple of little 36mg bottles to go along with that first cup of coffee in the morning. 4 months later. we are in the 16-18 range for most stuff. the next juices i order will probably be around 12mg - we are pretty well stocked right now though.
i tried the traditional "tobacco" flavor juices ... none of them really appealed to me, especially after about 2 weeks off of cigarettes. my wife loves dekang kamal (all vg, not the pg) .. but it gags me. my tobacco vapes are ecblends RY4, darkness, and sweet virginia. my non-baccy vapes are mainly orange cream, lemonade, rum&coke (only from vapedudes), and mtn dew.
i will drip some red hots, or some strawberry&cream, or some spicy chai ... but my all day tanks are ry4 and orange cream.
i found that when starting out ... having a LOT of different flavors to switch between helped curb the vapers tongue and kept me interested enough to not want a smoke.
as always, start with small bottles, get a couple of 2Ω 510 atomizers and a tip to drip new flavors, and if looking at ego style kits - seriously consider the twists. not even for the variable voltage - though it is nice. the fact that they are regulated is more important - where you set it, is the voltage you get, till it dies. i can't stress how important that is for someone just starting.
i was lucky that when i started, good prophets had a 10ml for 1.99 sale going - i ordered a crapload of juice, pretty cheap.
vapedudes does a 40% for your first order - so if you order from them, make it count - and they have a coupon code for a free 10ml that works for the first 15 ppl to try it - fbfree
ecblends start with 5ml bottles @ 2.50 ... and 30ml start at 9$, and it is pretty good juice, and totally customizable. i get the reduced pg, me and the wife prefer vg heavy juices. if you want more thump in the throat, go 50/50 or higher in the pg direction.
warning on coffee juices - if you drink coffee all day like i do, you probably wont like them as much as you think you will. i was very disappointing in most i have tried.
and the people are generally cool. Let you know what works for them, into more natural stuff, not too much marketing hype, etc. Thanks again Thorbear! I got the vape-mail yesterday![]()
I've set up my smaller MAP tank (2.5ml, the large is has 5ml capacity) on my 2-toned mini GLV2... I once called it 'as good as dripping' and as a long time regular dripper I can now say that only dripping is as good as drippingDon't get me wrong, it's clean tasting and fairly consistent... but nowhere as good as the flavor of a high quality, debridged & dewicked LR901 (IMHO/E, FWIW, & YMMV)
On a side note: My cousin is still doing well AND she gave her second Kgo (1100mah model starter with 2 batteries) to her mother who is now off tobacco a couple days as well. She also shares her Kgo with her fiance when they are hanging out together and after a few days of it, he's thinking he needs to order one for himself![]()
Thanks again. You guys are a real help here. I'm a little wierd I guess in that I don't want to hear all this "you should quit" or "I'd love to help you" type crap from my direct circle of friends/loved ones/significant other, etc., it just pisses me off. Bass players on the internet though...it's a real help/inspiration. I don't know why that is, but it is.

i merely upgraded my nicotine delivery system.
I think a club would really be a good idea here. Anyone care to start it off? I don't feel I know enough yet to be the lead.

I have not tried dripping yet, but I'm sure i will. It sounds a bit more inconvenient when out of the house or when driving though, but I'm sure it's good for around the house.
After a couple of puffs he asked if i could order a kit for him aswell, so we went online and did so right away. Hoping it will be as effective for him too![]()

I nominate James.![]()
I hereby second the nomination.
Another Club? Ughh. What's the point? We are here, we are subbed to the thread, we are talking, do we really need numbers? This is a good thread, it'll keep going.
I'm really liking that burl mod holder. I really should take a few minutes and make one for myself. I've got a TON of exotic cutoffs in the shop just begging to be sitting beside my recliner!!
