Congrats on the drop. We are down to 12mg now, we started at 24mg ten months ago, with some 36mg for those rough mornings ...
Just got hold of a Vamo mod - seriously, variable wattage is the way to go. Using it with a Vivi Nova with PG liquid and it makes loads and loads of vapour with none of the burning taste I associate with high-voltage mods. Massive nic hit too.
It's not nearly as nicely made as something like a Provari (it's also a lot cheaper), but it's big, shiny and has got it where it counts.

So 8 months into vaping and strange wonderful things have been happening.
My hearing has improved - I used to have "cocktail party syndrome" where I couldn't hear well in crowded rooms like bars. On several occasions I was chatting w someone in a noisy bar and hearing every word. It dawned on me that it could be smoking was causing the issue. Sure enough, smoke can affect the cilia in your ears which facilitate hearing.
Also, I noticed my contact prescription was preventing me from seeing my computer screen clearly. I'm myopic, so I took them off. I can see things at a distance I was never able to see before. Also studies showing smoke effects on the optic nerve.
I can smell someone who has been smoking like 10 feet away now, and it's not good. I shudder to think I smelled like that.

DIY is where it's at!
I started at 24mg in December then immediately went down to 12mg. I mixed my last batch at 10mg and am thinking about going 8mg for the next.
I hear you there... I've apologized to a few people that don't smoke that had to deal with my smoking for years!
1.5ohm atty powered by an AW IMR 16340 suits me fine... but I know the science and benefit of a regulated wattage mod. The next gen GLV is in the beta stage, we are all hoping it's got some new tech in it.
I've no want for the fuss... I'm perfectly happy dropping $20 a month what I know I dig and tastes the same from batch to batch.
Thanks guys. I have desire to stop vaping, but I've worked myself to the point that if I need to stop nicotine, I'm almost there.
That was the most surprising thing about quitting cigarettes. I knew I didn't smell like roses but had no idea I used to smell so funky.
Got any links to ECF threads with good info on 'rebuildable dripping attys'. I very much prefer the flavor out of a 1.5ohm 901 over a 1.5ohm 510 or 306... plus I ALWAYS use an Empire dripshield with them to keep it neat, stylish and tighten the draw. But I'll at least read up on them

There are a ton of them now. I prefer the A7's and the igo-L. Discountvapers.comjas them cheap.
If it works for you, great. But every description I have heard for it mentions a hint of coconut. If I vape that, I'm gonna hurl.

my nightime tv watching volume has reduced by 3-4 clicks and is still too loud, my bass has new dimensions and shoot, well I feel like friggin batman now with all my senses operating better.
This is only a week in too! (22 years old, 2-2.5 years smoking through my life, although 4 years of pot before I quit about two years ago and next to none of the cig and pot over lap, so idk how you might calculate my smoking history)

i ordered all kinds of stuff last week ...
i got a vamo (ss), a pair of twists for backups, a nitecore i4 charger, some clearos and cartos for my tanks, a punch, and i got rachel a bolt and another pair of vivi novas.
i also ordered bulk flavors for our all days from TFA, and enough supplies from wizard labs to make a litre of juice @ 12mg.

quick rundown on the last week:
vamo = win. VW rocks, and the SS vamo is solid. and $50.
rachels Bolt = win for her. straight battery voltage and 1.8Ω vivi novas are her sweet spot.
mt3 - meh. looks good, but if i crank it up enough to taste it, it goes dry and burns.
drip shield & sealed 510/510 - awesome. my OKR box has my 2Ω slb debridged 510, my home dripping rig.
got backup twist for each of us. broke open another laptop battery and got 6 more 2200mah icr 18650s. test 4 so far, all holding charge creat. these are orange/white LGs.
got the smok octopus thingie rda ... more like a rebuildable carto. it's huge -about the same size as a 18350.

Just quit nicotine. After a few weeks it's all out of your system and the only reason to want more is due to your buy in to the the classic addiction problem. It doesn't alleviate stress or boredom, restore confidence, aid concentration or relaxation, or give pleasure. It only gives back the little peace of mind that was taken away by the lack of nicotine and relieves the sinister feeling of deprivation that is the real problem. Once you realise you are craving for something that doesn't exist you can be free.

James - i know you pretty much do cinnamon bun exclusively. have you tried the TFA banana nut bread?
i got the cafe pack sampler to get some coffee and tea flavors to play with, and it also had cinnamon sugar cookie (which rocks, btw) and banana nut bread.
mellow ripe banana up front, with a little sweet, and a warm cinnamon bun kinda finish.
Sounds tasty... I might give that a pull or 3.

Hey guys. I just bought a Vapor kit from Volcano ECigs. I got the Inferno kit and a few liquids. I'm not sure if I've got a defective item or if I'm doing this right, but vaping so far tastes disgusting.
When I take a hit, there's a really bad harshness about it. Imagine taking a hit from raw tobacco that's dried up and wasn't soaked in molasses or whatever they do to it. More 'smoke' smoke that's harsh.
I was hoping it'd be a smooth hit to the lungs
. I can taste the flavor of the liquid, slightly, but the harshness of it overpowers the flavor by about an 80/20 ratio. Maybe it's just the Volcano liquids?

Sounds like you're getting dry hits. I haven't used that tank system so I can't help you there. Does it do it with all the different liquids you have? Some tank/liquid combinations are more prone to dry hits.
I also hear an air+liquid sucking sound when I take a hit, kinda like the sound of the last bit of water going down your sink. I also notice that some of the liquid is sucking through the part you take a hit from and it's getting onto my tongue.

Oh, it also sounds like you're having wicking issues which may be causing flooding. Are you hitting it real hard? The tank might not like that.
