any smokers switch to Vaping yet?

apparently IMR batteries won't fit in it, you have to use ICR ... IMR's tend to be just a little thicker than ICR.

on a related bonus note - discount vapers has them marked down to $48 while they last, and he won't be reordering them. 13 left currently.

personally i am not comfortable running a boost circuit off of an ICR cell. i will run them in my 18650 egos ... they actually work better than IMRs in there, but the PWM is tuned to ICR batteries. my VV and VW devices (and the wife's bolt) get IMRs.

How often do you guys change your coil heads? I wash mine up about once a week to keep the gunk out of the string but that only works for about a month or a little more.

One month isn't bad when compared to the price of a pack of smokes. I was getting 1-2 weeks when I was cleaning/dry burning every 2-3 days. Now that I've scaled back the dry burning, I haven't blown one in over a month...this is for Vivi Novas BTW.

i rinse / burn my vivi coils every 1.5-2 weeks. usually, they last for about 2 months. between me and rachel, we have 6 vivis.

my current all day vivi has a head that i recoiled myself ... 32g kanthal and 2 strands of 3mm silica. i want to get some 2mm silica though - the 3mm wicks too good. at 2.1Ω i have to crank it up to 10w to get it to vape clean. then, it gets hot and floods.

we have been leaning towards the kanger T3/MT3s lately. they work great on our giant egos, pocket friendly on a ego twist for work, seem to really wick well with our 60/40 blend ... and they appear to be as easy to recoil as the vivis.

my smoktech RDA is a PITA ... not the best designed dripper. with the stock wick, it was basically a rebuildable carto. too up to 20 drops, vaped for about an hour ... but rebuilding the 8 wick monster is a pain.

Here's a quick shot of my C Twist.

is that a t2 or a t3?

honestly, for an ego ... the kangers are about the best. 2.4ml and easy to fill ... all you need is a 2nd battery and a couple spare clearos. if you need more capacity, just either fill a spare clearo, or bring a 5ml bottle with you. try to get the squishy bottles with the more pointy tips ... they are easier to use than the clear clicky bottles and rounded tips. ecblends uses those squishy bottles.

oh, and save all empty bottles ... i have a gallon ziplock full of empties / unvapeable juices ... cause if you ever want to DIY or start mixing pre made juices ... it makes it much easier.

@ Turock - get a case. the small ego zip cases fit in most pockets. i also hear that the mag lite belt holsters work too ... the 2AA ones should fit a ego/clearo ... i just usually have big pockets.

well, i have to attach a pic ... i miss having my own domain all of a sudden. this is what i happened to have with me at work the other day ... l-r:
1000mah twist / mt3 / banana nut bread
650mah twist / vivi @ 2.1Ω / 555(dktab)
18650 ego v3 / smok tank boge 2Ω single / ry4
Vamo / smoktech RDA / whatever i was dripping that day ... chai? dragonfruit? don't remember.

Cool, thanks for the advice. Honestly, I'm not sure what make the tank is. I bought it at a brick-and-mortar vape place near me and I've been trying to figure that out; from what I can tell it's a T2. Decided on it because the wick's replaceable. I like it so far, just wondered if there was any game-changing superiority to the $30 pyrex pieces.

Smoked the last cig I had last night and it was amazing how unappealing it tasted after the vape. Have AppleJax in my tank right now and I'm probably going to buy more juice today... I can see this being easy to get carried away :ninja:

if the coil is on top - it is a t2. if it is on the bottom, it is a t3.

i rolled with the t2's for a long time last fall ... but it seemed like the heads outlasted the tubes.
i am digging the MT3 i got now ... it is just a T3 with a metal sleeve over the tube.
last summer, i gave one of my friends a t2 - i had ordered 2 5packs of them. 9 months later, he still has that original t2, that he has recoiled once, rigged into a OCD pyrex tank with an empty carto and 3 o rings. it is his daily clearo ...

That would make mine a T2 then. Picked up another T2 yesterday as well as an MT3, a spare twist 650, and yet more juice: Drake's Vapes Chai Town and Nuclear Vapors Shockwaves (peach rings). Digging it.
Should be set... Still feels like a lot though :p

Just ordered a Vision Spinner, some Kanger T3 tanks and heads, Kanger Protank.
I will order some juice from a few well respected vendors today. I have a bunch from a while back still in the room. Should still be good, I hope.
I also have a couple of kGos for when the Spinner is charging if it comes to that. Might have to get some 1.8ohm heads too, just in case.
What's a good rebuildable atomizer for someone new to that?

I ordered a Nitecore i4 charger and what I thought was two Panasonic IMRs for my new SID. Apparently, it was $7.99 for TWO batteries (orbtronic.com)! Now I'm loaded for bear on the IMR front. THe purchase was kind of pricey but it was about the same cost of a carton of smokes which would be gone in two weeks.

I'm about an hour into my new SID and I'm sold American! Talk about "eternal throat hit of the regulated APV"! I just hope I don't have any reliability issues...that was my original reservation about advanced mods and the reason I've waited so long to get one. $45 well spent! I have to admit, even if I do run into problems, the adjustability and consistency would almost be worth it! :hyper:

Woo doggy! Vaping at 10 watts eats batteries like nobody's business. Good thing I have four batteries...I wish they made an 8,000mah IMR. I guess that's the price of the outrageous vaping I've been doing all day. It's like a completely different experience.

gecko - how you liking that nitecore charger? i won't go back to the whining trustfire ... and i can chuck my daughters nimh AA cells on it, and i don't even have to flip a switch ...

i keep the carto tanks around 8-8.5w ... dripping atties around 9.5-10, except for the dual coiled phoenix ... that usually floats around 11.5w. still, that is only around 4.2v, but pushing 2.8a ...
