i set my rsst up this weekend with a 1.9Ω microcoil and a 1.5mm 400# ss wick ... amazed at the flavor and performance. 12 wraps of 28g kanthal around a micro-screwdriver, compressed and torched / quenched, then back on driver to install.

it wicks so well, that if i tilt it when it is more than half full, it floods.

SWEET! That looks great...you did a really nice job.

I am planning on setting up a micro on my AGA-T2. I watched a youtube video of RipTripper building one with a light coating of cotton between the wick and the coil.

i used the last 5" of my 28g wrapping another rsst that i was giving to my friend ... went looking around this morning before work ... it seems the sub-ohm crowd has driven the prices on 28g way up.

i can get 100' of 32g (practically a year supply) for $5 shipped. 50' of 28g is anywhere from 8-19$ ... the cheapest 100' roll i found was 19$. or, pay 2-3$ for a meter of it at a time.

but, the flavor on this rsst is totally off the hook. i'm considering some 30g for making evod/protank coils ... 28g is just too big, 32g will be too high resistance ...

For 28g try Lightning Vapes. I just bought a 50' roll A1 for somewhere around $5 shipped through their site on the bay.

I picked up a Joyetech Ego 18650 mod to run a new atomizer. I didn't mean for it to replace my Smoktech SID but damn if it isn't an inch shorter, lighter, and more compact. I'd lose VV/VW capaibility but it does have a regulated 3.3v mode that's not bad.

It seems my honeymoon with the Joytech 18650 was short lived. It worked passably with the first liquid I tried but not so much with subsequent ones. I'm already using the lowest resistance atomizer (1.8 ohms) and don't really want to wind my own. There's the Gripper, which is even more compact, but it seems like it has durability problems. Are there any other compact, reasonably priced VV/VW 18650 mods out there?

i was gonna say, you could get a vamo or a telescoping zmax / svd and run 350's in it. or maybe a VV reo grand if you could find one ... or ditch the external batteries and try out the mvp v.2 ...

I'm way too invested in 18650s. I have nine with two incoming. :atoz:

The Reos look cool but are way expensive. An cheap extension ring and kick for my Bolt would be almost as long as my SID, defeating the purpose. Maybe I'll get a Gripper as a "semi disposable" mod for when a low profile mod is desired.

Okay, I think I'm ready... I am going to order a RDA soon. I'm about to read back and get caught up on the talk here. Feel free to hit me new advice :)

There is a great fb group called of wick and wire ...

What type of rda are you looking for? I'm leaning towards the fat dippers lately. My smok RDA is currently vertical wicked with a 1.9 ohm microcoil ... had to mod that to get it working good though.
I hear good things about the igo w and the igo l as well.

My rsst had a 2 ohm micro in it until I popped out pulling the wick out to clean it yesterday. I've got more wire coming tomorrow along with some various sized ekowool wick to try out.

The rda - pic looked better on the phone ... lol.

The rsst.

My Terminator 3 setup I was so proud of back in March, has died...:bawl:

The T3 tank crapped out after a couple of months, but that was replaced with a couple of top feeders, then a Kanger T3S BCC.

The battery (Esco E2) refused to charge, and while I was checking it out, the whole switch mechanism came apart.
Now using my backup (formerly main) nHaler with my few remaining working cartos. I still have a couple of eHealth units as emergency backups.
I'm hoping to get a new vv manual battery rig when my GST comes in on the 4th. Still doing research, but looking at a Joytech eGo-C, Kanger EVOD, or, (if I splurge,) a Innokin iTaste VV V3.0.

Noooo, i'll just stick too rollies, i heard somewhere on the news that these 'E-cig' products contain chemicals that are just as harmful as tobacco! But what i find interesting, is the fact theyre beginning too start banning the vapour products in public places now, yet the market is at its peak with high street stores dedicated too them... Wonder how long it'll be before its banned from everywhere like smoking...

This is BS, and has been proven as such.

There are 4-5 chemicals products in e-juice. All are food grade and accepted by FDA and HC as safe for human consumption.

True, back in '09, when the FDA did a test on several cartos, the did find trace amounts of di-ethyl polypropylene in one (out of 18) cartos. One of the main ingredients is Propolyne Glycol, which is found in many non-organic food colours / flavourings like vanilla or other extract. The other is Glycerin USP. Then you add flavourings and nicotine.

I smoked ~ a PAD since I was 17, and it took about 1 week to get off the analogs. I've had a couple since, and hated the taste.
Check around and get the real facts as opposed to what the mass media wants you to think.

It's hard to beat the little Igo-l that you get from Fasttech. Gosh I think that if you were to buy a drip tip like the one that comes with that Igo-L you will pay almost the same price shipped. It comes built with a dual coil but the stock holes are a bit too small. They may be ok for a single coil with the stock holes. I love dripping much more than anything else.

I'm doing sub-ohm coils on a Nimbus, in my RSST and my Aga-t2. And I do have a Trident coming that has air flow adjustment so you don't have to drill it out. I just built up a 0.8 ohm coil on my Aga-t2 with stainless steel wire rope and .8mm ribbon. It worked great...and way better than mesh.

I joined up (and sent you a friend request too)... thanks

I want small and simple... I'd prefer non china factory stuff, but will step up in quality if I dig what I try.

I love 1.5ohms on my 3.7 IMR batteries... not a fan of LR306 (and some LR501) due to too much heat. So I guess I'm looking for a taller RDA

I just ordered an IGO-W from Fasttech ($6.41 shipped was cheap enough to give a spin). I'm still reading, watching videos and posting :)

okay... so the igo-w has shipped, but I just ordered an igo-s (mini igo-l), scar RDA, and a couple new AW IMR 16340 to play with too. In researching these things I found that I need to get something under 15mm diameter to fit my GLV without an adapter.

Now I need to order wire and wick stuff... and unsure what to do. I like the idea of ribbon, but can see where it might be a hinder to tight RDA interiors.

I like the organic cotton idea... but truly don't know yet.

I would like to hear the bassist preference before I order anything for rebuilding these (I believe they all come ready to use).

The vertical coil makes sense to me... as well as a single wick between dual coils.

I'm also prepared to drill out the air holes. I like a tight draw, but I have a feeling these come too tight stock.
