The DIY community is putting out some major improvements that are being utilized and further improved by the manufacturing side. Things like .mil grade components to new tech like the TI chipped variable voltage mods.
Cisco (Avidvapor.com) has THE go to dripping atty... the LR306. They regularly last 3 to 4 weeks on average. I use CE2 cartos and have had them last almost 2 months.
Oh yeah, I made myself a little "Dripping Station" since I recently got bit by the dripping bug.

Those are pretty nice...might consider giving it another try. I;d like to find something that works with my bajilion SD batteries....
I ordered the box mod and quit smoking the day it came in - April 1 - and haven't had an analog since. I was smoking 2 packs a day for decades.
Most of the carto's tasted nasty so I picked up some XL Clearomizers...nice.
Once my startup costs are covered I'm looking to get one of those tanks and, later, a full size GLV-2.
Vaping still seems so odd but I'm lovin' it!
Got my order in for the GLV-2 Mini. Also ordered the Roughstack from Madvapes.
Still liking the menthol best; but the Dekang Tobacco (non menthol) is pretty good too. I don't like any of the sweet fruity flavors I've tried. The coffee ones are ok.

still using my yeti-c 510's. Basic, but compact and they get the job done.
my favorite flavors so far have been peppermint patricia and blueberry, though the cinnabun is quite nice too.

Quit smoking 10 years ago April 1st. Still miss my trusty Zippo and a fresh Marlboro light. Sigh.

Trying to read up on some of the newer stuff since I got away from it, and it is overwhelming.
I've always preferred dripping, and I see there are now 2ml tanks for this that are a part of the ecig?
I'd like the above with USB passthrough capabilities as well.
Any recommendations?

I have a couple MAP tanks which are a mod of a specific type of cartomizer. They are pretty okay, but in the end dripping is tastier, neater and easier.
I use bridgeless 901 atomizers from Avid for dripping. I find they are the best flavor to me (over 510 306 and 808 style). The drip shields from Empire make it virtually mess free.

Juice wise, I've been using Sweet Vapes Organic Sweet Cinnamon (on my 3rd 30ml bottle currently)... and it's pretty much the exact flavor I've been hunting for this past year.

I think the only cartomizer I ever used was the vapor king, or some variety thereof. I hope the technology has improved since then....

i decided several years ago to make the switch.
what i did was buy a SILVER SURFER vaporizer. these are devices that are actually made for smoking (that is, vaporizing) pot.
they are made in colorado i believe.
the way they work is you load the material to be vaped in a WAND, attach it to the unit, and draw the vapor through a hose.
it is great. i use pipe tobacco. i realize this is not as good as avoiding tobacco altogether, but the results are real impressive.
you get the pleasure of smoking without the tars and combustion by-products that are the real reason smoking is so bad for you.
i vape captain black (gold) pipe tobacco -- the advantage here is pipe tobacco has escaped all the taxes leveled at cigarettes.
yes, yes, i know... giving up tobacco altogether would be better for me... but in the meantime i have found a happy medium.

I'm thinking of selling my two-toned mini GLV2 to fund the new GLV2-XL.
the CE2 is definitely an improvement... even better (for me) is modding them into a MAP tank (they are the 'guts' of the MAP tank). They are the cleanest taste without having to drip

It works fine, I got it from an ex-coworker that wasn't using it. I thought it might work for me... but my batteries work all day and I prefer the look & feel of my mods better. I got it just as I was jumping from the V4L batteries to 16340 Li-ion based mods.
That model uses the 808/901 thread type. If you prefer the 510/306 thread type, the eGo has a battery with a USB port
