Not sure what you mean by "solo bassist".
...
so, i am new at bass. i want to be a solo bassist. is this possible?
To support and complement what @SteveCS just wrote, consider that every "solo bassist" (whatever that means) was at some point a "non-bassist" or even a "non-musician" before becoming a "solo bassist".Whatever you mean by 'solo bassist', if there are others out there that meet the definition and are doing what you want to be doing then of course it is possible, since it has already been done. If no but you have a vision of your own future then again of course it is possible - after all, everyone has to start somewhere. But whatever that endgame looks like, the path consists of daily study and practice of things that yield development and improvement of musicianship and technical competence, coupled with good doses of patience, imagination and periodic reality checking.

I voted no, cause if you are asking a poll, while you should be practicing...well you answer your own questions...good luck. Have fun stay low.so, i am new at bass. i want to be a solo bassist. is this possible?
