I'm using the Parker 90R safety razor (
Amazon.com: Parker 90R - Long Handle Butterfly Open Double Edge Safety Razor and 5 Shark Super Chrome Blades: Health & Personal Care) and Edwin Jagger's sea buckthorn shave soap (
Amazon.com: Edwin Jagger 99.9% Natural Traditional Shaving Soap Refill - Sea Buckthorn, 2.3-Ounce: Health & Personal Care). It smells good. By that, I mean it doesn't smell flowery or perfume-y. It smells masculine and clean. My razor is not adjustable, so I just install the razor and start shaving. I am currently using a boar bristle brush I found at Walgreen's, though I wand to go up to a silverhair badger brush eventually. I'm not sure what the advantage of badger is, but they have nice handles, and the plastic cheapy I'm using doesn't.
I actually enjoy shaving with the Parker and shave soap, whereas it was a pain-in-the-arse chore with disposables and canned foam.
Edit: I also bought a nice wooden bowl (
