Anybody here have a Korg Triton?

A guy in my building sold me a Triton Studio yesterday for $600.



I started reading the manual last night at 4 AM after a gig.



Please post your thoughts on the Triton if you have one. I'll have lots of questions I'm sure - I'll start with this...

Where are the drum sounds and patterns? Thanks. I can't wait to get to know this thing.

I don't have one. But that is one great workstation and what a price!

Personally I don't care for their sounds, but at that price, what does that matter? It has great electronic sounds, and a few of the guitars and whatnot are good. Have fun!

The Triton is considered to be the quickest tool for music composition: you have an idea, you save it, you do edits, etc. The Triton GUI is supposed to be the easiest to learn (compared to the Roland Fantom, Yamaha Motif, etc).

If you have a Studio model, it should have the cd burner, right?

You paid $600? That is a good buy!

The Triton GUI is supposed to be the easiest to learn (compared to the Roland Fantom, Yamaha Motif, etc).

I personally prefer the Fantom GUI and the Motif Soundset, but the Triton is a great tool to work with.

To the OP: Is it the 88-key weighted or one of the shorter models?

The one I've got is 76 keys and has a burner. There is an incredible amount of music locked inside this thing. I'm going to move slowly and steadily ahead. Just found out with the free version upgrade I need to get on a floppy disk somehow, it records audio too. Woo hoo!
