Anybody Offering A Decent New Short-Scale Model This Year?

I came to suggest the new Fender JMJ Mustang, but the Chowny and Supro basses really caught my eye, too.
The Hammersmith K Bass is also on my radar, but I know they've had problems with their suppliers and unable to deliver thus far.
Also recently become enamoured with the [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], but the Supro kinda hits on the same style and likely costs a boat load less than the RnRR.

That RRR Thunder is pretty sweet looking though...
I hear ya on the $ tag. I think the Supros were starting at $1000 for the Huntington I and up around $1300-1400 for H3.
Just checked out the Chowny WSB video on their website, not what I'm looking for.
The two-pickup Supro may be a good option though. When I think "short scale", I immediately think Gibson EBO, so that natural mahogany finish option is really speaking to me.

Thank you for the clarification, but I don't think it qualifies as new model this year. Still, it is good for people to know that there are exceptions in the line. The current Artcore series (now "vintage") are AFB and AGB - short scale.
Alembic always has a few decent short scale basses available.

I noodled with it at NAMM. It felt very nice. My only complaint was a very slight neck dive. The kind where if you use a nylon strap you'll notice it, but if you use a "grippier" strap, you won't.
If scott beckwith is having the short bass built by another company and putting his name on it, that is a new policy for birdsong! The short bass was always built on the same benches as the birdsong customs, by the same craftsmen! The short bass quality is amazing, i can attest to this personally, i own one!

You're right bro. I'm sorry. I was mistaken in assuming you might want specific and relevant input based on your needs and preferences. Tonal qualities, construction, cost, versatility, and such. You just wanted essentially meaningless subjective opinions. I'm so, so, so sorry.
Chiming in to say I was impressed with the Squier SS Jaguar I recently bought. Did a lot of mods to it but it was great before them.

I recently went back to a short scale bass again. I acquired this Gibson 2018 SG Std. from Sweetwater Music. 7.10 Pounds. It plays, and sound great! Walnut finish.
