Everyone that didn't get one is supposed to be able to get them when they file their taxes. The newest one did have a income limit though I believe. So if you make over $125k or whatever the limit was you don't get that one. What stimulus? I never got one even though I qualified for the first. Neither did my daughter and she's a minimum wage worker who was on food stamps for a while. She hasn't received any of them.
Planning to get a Mesa subway 115 cab to pair with my subway head. But a decent chunk of it will actually be paid for by selling some bigger cabs I don't need because my band dissolved waiting out the shutdown. Everyone I can potentially see myself playing with has downsized during the shutdown so the 15 will probably be just fine. If not I'll add another one or maybe the 112 later.I got a really good deal on this beauty. This is my first Fender and my first real, quality, non-imported bass.
Who else treated themselves to something new lately?

The $1,400 stimulus will perhaps cover the income taxes that I owe on my Federal supplemental unemployment from last year (the "extra $600 per week" thing). There was no option to have them tax that money up front, so anyone who got it is on the hook for about $100 per week that they received the extra $600.
Uncle Sam is gonna get a fat-ass pay day from all of us this year and next. Half the nation has been placed into serious tax debt by "qualifying" for this money. People who are used to getting money back every year are going to end up anywhere from getting nothing to owing thousands.
As opposed to giving us another check, they should have forgiven unemployment taxes during the pandemic. But they'd rather dole out a [relatively] little bit of cold, hard cash now, and put half the nation in serious debt to them.
This has changed!!! The new relief bill makes the first 10k of unemployment (including the $600 increase) tax free for LAST YEAR too! If you've already filed you have to amend your return. The form to do that will be available 3/25. It's estimated to make a difference of about $1000 for anyone who earned 10k in unemployment benefits last year.
Tort looks great with that color bass! I put tort on my Roadworn 50s P but switched it back cause the anodized gold just looked better with the maple fretboard. The color combo on yours just seems to pop!View attachment 4213169 I bought this Squire 70s CV P-bass with the first stimulus money . I changed the black pickguard with this tort one . Next will be changing the pots & cap and installing a Gotoh hi-mass bridge . I bought a DiMarzio DP127 pup for it but I'm gonna leave the stock one in for the time being as it sounds really nice . The fit & finish on this bass is flawless . IMO , this Squire offers a lot of bang for the buck .
Thanks bro . The original black one did look good with the black block markers in the neck but I like the tort better . The body on this is supposed to be basswood and the tort seems to work really well with the subtle grain . As well , I've replaced the control knobs with anodized gold ones that look great .Tort looks great with that color bass!
