If you never step into the Fender or Gibson world you never experience it. Or maybe people have been looking down on my Ibanez and Carvin headstocks this whole time?

Nothing makes me smile quite like seeing a band or a player up there kicking tail on a piece of gear that so many have written off.
Lots of "the label doesn't matter" talk going on. Not buying it for a minute.
How many of this crowd, given the opportunity to choose anything in GC's inventory for free, would choose a Squier CV bass? Answer - none.

Not to dis any Sadowski players here, but it seems like every time I see one, it's being played by some well-heeled wannabe who can't play his way out of a paper bag.M.R. Ogle said:If he's got a Sadowsky, I may get the impression that he's a "learned" musician and is afforded the advantage of a good instrument and is probably performing at the top of his game. At least, the gear is not holding him back any.
Wow, what a load of pants-potatoes. I'd go with a Squier, and Talkbass is replete with threads explaining why.
There are other basses (mainly Fenders) that I want, but honestly I'm VERY happy with my Squiers and would happily accept more of them over anything else.

I'd grab the bass that suits me best, regardless of what's on the headstock.
