Just returned from a four country European excursion, with most of that time spent in Germany. Seemed like a no brainer to wear a German watch.

Nice pickup! Having the day/date is a great feature, and they did a good job making room for it.
Well, I stepped up my wrist action. After years of being happy with my automatic Seikos, I got a bug up my butt for a Sinn U2S a friend was selling:
The watch I always wanted, though was a Sinn U1B-T on a bracelet. Steel ones are common enough, but production of the fully Tegimented ones is pretty limited. However, WatchBuys happened to get a single one in the morning I asked about them, and I couldn’t resist:

A few months ago, I grabbed this NTH Barracuda--Legends Series with Vintage Green bezel insert, and overall it's been great. The accuracy is simply phenomenal; if I keep it crown up overnight, it barely budges. NTH regulates the Miyota movements in-house, and this extra effort really pays off.
I also love the gilt-relief dial, which matches my gold wedding band and contributes to the (IMO) classy look. I wasn't sure how I'd feel about the top-hat crystal, but in practice I love it. I'm also glad NTH ditched the "snowflake" hands (due to Tudor's trademark application for same), because I think the sword hands look better and take it further from straight-up Rolex/Tudor copying territory. I would not have bought it with the snowflake hands.
I do think it could be improved though. The crown is fairly large, and sometimes digs into my wrist. It would still function nicely if it were about 1-2mm smaller. Also, the screws for the bracelet links have smaller diameter heads than those for my Traska (posted earlier in this thread), which makes them more difficult to manipulate. Finally, some of the edges on the clasp and bracelet are fairly sharp. This isn't a big deal, but you would never find such sharp edges on, say, a Seiko at the same price point. But I think minor niggles like this are par for the course with microbrands, and overall this one is very solidly built. It exudes quality.

Even though I appreciate mechanical watches, my main daily watch is a cheap Walmart brand digital one that I bought a few weeks ago for absolutely no reason. But sometimes my mood is just for something cheap and plastic. Everything else seems extravagant.
But I know I'll change back again to mechanical and dressier in a couple of months. Never fails.

Just completed this build. The guilt dial and dome plex crystal add to the vintage vibe. I used a toaster oven to bake the handset to match.
I grabbed a Pelagos 39 a few weeks ago. I also have my eye on a Nomos Ludwig Neomatik 39 for another dress watch. The one below is a Max Bill.

Do you think you've got adequate water protection? I don't know much about building your own, but how do you address that aspect?
Tudor really has a hit with the Pelagos. I don't know why other "higher" brands don't put some sort of lume on the bezel. Super practical, and looks amazing as well.
Thanks! On this build I wanted the vintage aesthetic and not too concerned about the WR. Typically a plex crystal does not use a crystal gasket like sapphire would but I had to use one so the dome circumference was small enough for the bezel to clear it.Nice work! I did do a rudimentary test by closing the case w/out the movement and filled the inside w/ tissue paper, ran water over all the seal locations & vigorously moved it around in a tub of water. The tissue paper was completely dry and that was good enough for this build. All my other builds utilize proper install techniques, components, and seals [w/ applied silicone]. A few of those I've actually used while SUBA diving.

I notice you're in Sarasota. I'll probably be there in the next few months, so are there any good watch shops in the area? I've been there many times and haven't seen any, but I also haven't looked very hard.
