Anyone else just HATE Apple?

as more and more people are using apples more and more viruses will be made for them.

it's just as easy for me to write a malicious script for an apple as a PC. More people have PCs and the point of viruses and spyware are to effect as many people as possible.

you should be praying that people don't convert to mac

Good point but I have far more important things to "Pray" for, LoL. I suppose in the future we will all be hoping for more effective safeguards regardless of what system we prefer. Given a choice I still like Apples better than PC's.

Their products are hard to use and break easily, their advertisements are painfully arrogant and pretentious, everyone I know that likes Apple stuff is really stuck up about it, and the whole white aesthetic hurts my eyes.

I dunno. Maybe it's just me.

(I will concede, though, that the iPod + iTunes campaign with the outlines is brilliant, but that's IT! :D)

i don't know....................i just hear blathering about a mac is great and everyone should have an ipod and itunes..............itunes is crap for my computer, it doesn't run good, and i only bought two albums (because i have almost any other music i need).
as far as the ipod thing goes, I use a cd player. I have tons of cds, and frankly, it's working great for me. i heard a friend of mine say "wow i never really knew why i went to ipod, the cds sound SO much better".

And just because I feel like a contrary cuss tonight, OS X is built off of BSD, not UNIX. :)

Eh? I don't know if you' re posting that as a form or irony or something, but just in case, while it is true that most free varieties of BSD nowadays are not certified to the Single UNIX Specification (due to the cost associated), for all other intents and purposes they are compliant to the specifications.

In any case, Mac OS X has been certified by SUS and is an Open Brand UNIX 03 Registered Product. It can't get more UNIX than that. :P

Why was this bumped? I've used a couple of G4s (when they came out) for Photochop and didn't like them nearly as much as my home PC running the same version. I'm sure it comes from years of using PCs but the Mac don't seem intuitive at all, the ones I tried were less stable (boggy and lockups with huge image files + layers), and their options were absolute cr@p for someone used to PCs and W2K. The guys at Apple are probably grateful to M$ for releasing Vista as it was an OS that needed a lot of tweaking and wouldn't run well on most systems available when released. I do like the iPod, but no love for the Mac here.

You should try the new Apple stuff. Way better than the old G4 stuff.

You should say to your friend that he can import CD'S in iTunes without compression , it's called AIFF.

I agree that uncompressed sounds better than compressed.
It has nothing to do with iPod , mac's or Apple.

Is there a thread about how PC's suck ? :D

IMO PC's suck period. Everyone I know have problems with them. They get these stupid virus all the time. I know tech's that work for Intel that admit the Mac's are a much more solid system. I have owned several and never once have I experienced a virus or any other problem.

Wow. another lame-duck Apple bashing thread. How novel!

I just went from 6 to midnight with all my collective joy over it. Giddy, I tell ya.

get the ____ over it already. I've had discussions about grilled cheese that were more
interesting than this. And thats sayin something.
