As a trombone player I thought I was being attacked at first.

I don't like horns OR single cut Basses, I think they're quite ugly. Tweeters are OK, I used to turn my Tweeters completely off, THAT was a huge mistake, The clarity of my notes are so much better now with the Tweeters turned on.I like the look of horns, but I also think some single cut basses can look awesome.

Trombones RULE! ... and Oboes as wellAs a trombone player I thought I was being attacked at first.

Anyone else not like horns?
They really belong on the keyboard player and preclude the need for "more cowbell":
You mean, like... trombones and trumpets?I understand why they are there and their purpose. I just don't like the way they look aesthetically. Probably a sacrilegious viewpoint. But I can't be the only one, can I?

if the old acoustic double basses had huge horns you can bet I'd been first in line for that!
I know saxes are put in the horn section but guys - they are woodwinds not horns please stop!
Loves me some baritone sax! (tenor too).
Reeds are woodwinds - even if they’re made of brassSaxophones are reeds, having no wood in their construction. If you dig bari saxes, Check out Adrian Rollini (bass sax).
