Well yeah. True about any company. I think they do well with it, though. They still make some stuff I'd like to buy.True, but once upon a time companies like GM and IBM were at the top of the heap of their industries, and aren't now. In the case of GM, they had to be saved from bankruptcy even. If companies don't pay attention to trends and customer wants/needs, anyone is at risk to fail.
I don't think Fender is at any imminent risk, but it still behooves them to pay attention to changing customer demands.

In the mid-2000's, Fender made a MIA Precision that was butterscotch but looked orange.I want to find an orange P bass. I also like Graffiti Yellow. I've never seen one in either of these that wasn't a Custom Shop.
