Anyone ever dealt with Guitarfiles.com?

Brian, you may want to think twice about how you use TalkBass; you can help yourself here. Genz-Benz does a super job of following discussions about their products and they respond quickly. As an outsider, it sounds like TGF does have communication and follow-up problems. You could improve your image by continuing to be responsive and helpful here.

Okay, I read these posts AFTER I had ordered from Guitar Files and freaked out. I paid via PayPal and didn't hear anything for a few days, so I researched and found this post. Sent an e-mail, called and left message, no response (also noted no auto-response from tgf on the first e-mail). Sent another e-mail next day, also called left no message. Got auto-response to 2nd e-mail and Brian replied the next day. He explained that PayPal finalizes the payment at the time of order, NOT shipment. He also advised a back order e-mail had been sent, which I did not receive (though I did have an issue with my e-mail download one day after I ordered). Bottom line, BRIAN RESPONDED, advised my order status, and WILL BE SHIPPING MONDAY from a warehouse located in my state. BOTTOM LINE (arh, bass humor!) he is not a mega-shopping site like MF & GC & Sweetwater, has GREAT PRICES on what I ordered, and though it does appear there are communication issues, he did respond. I would prefer the slight hassle and order from a REAL MUSICIAN then quick service from a MEGA -SITE that could GAS (not Guitar Acquisition Syndrome, either). BRIAN, THANKS and hang in there!!! **** of ***** in my book!

Dear Brian, I hope you can resolve my problem too. I understand you guys can't control some things but I ordered my mbrace guitar holder last month and still haven't heard from you back. I messaged you twice to no avail. My order is still in 'pending' status. A month is a long time to for shipment of an 'in stock' product, even though I live far away from the US, don't you think?

Please respond, I'm pretty desperate now since I wanted to have this holder by this month for my gig. Thanks.

Ok this is possibly the weirdest thread I've ever seen. Anyone notice how about 4/5 of the complainers have 1, maybe 2 or 3 posts only? And that those precious few posts are on this thread only?
I also noticed that everyone advocating for guitarfiles (save for one) has only one post as well. What the hell is going on?

^^ Well, my apologies for registering for the purpose of contacting brianc but please understand my and others' situation. There is absolutely no communication with them on the official level and not just the fact I spend my money is irritating me - I need that item for my gig soon and this is p**ging me off big time...

I didnt register for this thread. As you can see I have been registered since Dec 2009. I share my concerns along with szymgw. I paid alot of money for this thing with instant payment and my status still says pending and its been a month. No reply from their end after I contacted them twice!

LOL.. Have to step in again... Most of the complaints are one post. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out what their real intentions are?

The problem is non-customers are posting assuming what's going on? This is turning into a TalkBass hate pool against us.

I'm reading the same about alot of others company's too. Shame Shame... Hate to see this forum go south like the rest of them.
Brian, I re-read my main post (#26) and it doesn't seem particularly hateful to me. In fact, it was rather complimentary toward you. My subsequent post was an observation of an obvious shill. The single posters with complaints did not join just to rip guitarfiles.com.

Happy Easter Folks..

Were not bewildering this site be any means just wanted to say we do not have a lot of time to check this thread for support as we have a heavy work load with our own site. I have never seen such a thing to be honest, but we do care of course.

It does bother me that the owner here is making money from this thread with all our competitors banner ads everywhere. Google Adsense.

A note to our customers: Please check your email spam folders before you post here, some 3rd party email addresses and others will throw emails right to these folders along with all the things email servers do. Also please read our policies about things that will cause delays.

Also note to international customers. We do not have control over orders once they leave the states. If their is an unreasonable delay we will file a form 542 to trace the package to find the current location. We also have the package sent back if there's a problem with customs, address typo's etc.. In most cases the package will come back to us before the Postal service tracks the package which takes up to 6 weeks or more.

The problem with this post is that is started very shady with the obvious attempt to hurt our presence like adding our domain name in the title? Some users were posting our exact statements from our emails which is "not allowed" as we have a legal disclaimer about the email being solely intended for the them. We later had this removed without legal action.

We had a long conversion with the BBB about this post and how it persuades people to file a complaint which is very unfair since most are reading a one sided story.

^^Um....unless you have a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement, you have no legal recourse for someone posting material you sent them in an email....your little tag line in the email doesn't cut it.

The owners here have no control as to what ad(s) pop up in which thread.

Address typos should never happen....that's kind of a cheesy excuse.

My original post was quite complimentary....but unfortunately your last post I saw as slightly arrogant....if you are in business and delay items paid for (which now we know is a common problem for you)...people will complain....

But coming here with fists flairin' will do you no favors...trust me, in bass world, TB is a very powerful entity.

Just sayin'......because I can.

Just stating the facts of things that do happen especially over the last 15 years. The disclaimer was put in place years ago by our lawyers that do only internet based cases. This was something they made us do.

Seems to me, you might wanna look into better lawyers who work exclusively in the area of Non-Disclosure and Confidentiality Agreements.

Because they are incorrect if they are telling you you have legal grounds if someone quotes your emails.

*replying to this post may result in legal action* <---see how easy that was?, and totally false and non-binding.

IMO: from a businessman's standpoint (let's say this happened to my sign company, and it has)

My initial response would have been:

1) an official apology

2) a phone number and invitation to call.

3) a promise to make this right as soon as possible

Not a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo and excuses

You would have to read the disclaimer/disclosure noted in our emails first in order to have a skeptical opinion against bar certified lawyers. Were not lawyers by any means.

I just stated that our direct email comments were copied and posted here and removed by TalkBass.

Have a great day.

Brian, can your company track down my package? I send you the details in pm. Singapore is not some off-the-road village and 5 weeks for a shipment from the US is something I never saw before. Thanks.

Ok after the atrocious delay and lack of communication, I strongly recommend everyone reading this to avoid theguitarfiles.com at all cost. Just don't commit my mistake in giving them your money. They're not taking their customers seriously.

Boy , I wish I had noticed this post before placing a $650 order with Guitarfiles.com
Apart from the goods not appearing after almost a month, the appalling customer service from these guys is astonishing. Despite several attempts to contact them I have had no response. We in the UK are used to crap customer service but we kind of expect better from our friends across the pond. Jeez, you guys invented customer service! That said, if I was to run my business like these guys I wouldn't be in business for long. A(nother) complaint has been lodged with BBB.

The fact that I stumbled on this forum after 10 days of frustration over no response from TGF is amazing. I too share in everyones grief, these guys haven't a clue to the business they just lost. Next call the Bank & Visa & Bizrate, at least I know their phone numbers. Yea, I sent a request for their phone number & got no respose several times. Sorry Brian just stating the facts. :bawl:

brianc is lucky that I live far away, this sad little edit.

TGF is a scam. They didn't even reply to the BBB complaint I filed. Tell your friends and family never to order anything from these **** eaters.
