Anyone ever dealt with Guitarfiles.com?

@ szymgw, if you paid with PayPal why dont you just open a dispute, file a claim and get your money back? After a month and no luck with these guys (although brian did finally get back to me and say my item was on back order) with my buyer protection running out I had to file a claim ASAP. I got my money back and bought the item elsewhere...simple.

Unlucky, look he isnt going to rob you, they are a business afterall so I wouldnt worry. If he hasnt contacted you yet thats strange cause did contact me eventually. FYI: You can pay with VISA via PayPal aswell. Remember PayPal is just a service not a payment method. You can do eCheque, VISA, Masercard etc all through PayPal. Good luck with everything.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I just want to add a few places that have given me excellent customer service so that those looking for parts can have a recommendation.

Mojo
StewMac
Guitar Fetish
Bass Parts Depot
Guitar Parts Resource

I also always try to shop at bigger established sites such as Amazon and Musician's Friend if I am doing online shopping. I wish you guys that are having issues good luck in getting them resolved and being made whole financially. Times are too tough to be giving away money and then having to struggle to either receive an order or refund.

Ok, after a little rant on FB they updated my order, to be dispatched tmr.. I sincerely hope that's gonna put the end to this entire awful incident.

Brianc, if you're still following this thread at all, anger aside now - just a kind suggestion. I have no idea what sort of mess do you have inside ur company, but do something about the communication. It's not just the delay that agitated me, it was the horrific lack of any response to all my desperate attempts to reach you.

For your own sake do something about it. Or else you will just see more people totally losing it like I did.

Guitar Files! Stay clear of this site. I have an order for over $100 they took the money and will not even reply to a shipping info request! A paypal dispute has been opened. If you have paid for products from the guitar files and have not received any info or products please post to this forum, a class action lawsuit may be required!

Great. I placed an order there, which still says "Pending" of course. I wish I had done this search beforehand. If I don't get some kind of feedback on the order status soon, I guess I'll have to call the credit card company and dispute it. I also have gotten no response to e-mail. Where did you find a phone number for guitarfiles.com?

I am in the same boat. I, too, found this forum when trying to get info on guitarfiles.com. I can't even find the telephone number for these guys as the number in my Paypal response for my order is disconnected.

I have been waiting 10 days for any sort of response, other than "pending". Seems like this is very common.

You try to give the little guy a chance, but sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Guess I'll be doing the Paypal retract payment thing if I do not hear anything soon.

Hmmmm

I ordered a guitar from Guitarfiles.com last week, my order on the site states that it's pending. I never received notification if the item was backordered or out of stock.
I sent several emails with no reply, tried calling the phone number listed with paypal and it is disconnected.

I had to start a paypal claim as well and I will be contacting the BBB.

I filed a Paypal dispute and they returned my money right away. Item was backordered, but I never received the email indicating this and they were very bad at returning emails.

I guess it worked out, but I wasted time unnecessarily.

We refunded your money but were sending you a "free one" on us.

Enjoy!

Hi Brian,

I have an order with guitarfiles.com that has been pending for a while now. I have emailed you but no response (I check my spam folder every day too), and funnily enough there is still no contact information or number anywhere on the guitarfiles website.

From reading this forum thread it seems I am not the only one left waiting with no explanation or communication. This thread is FIVE years old and STILL people are experiencing these same bad business practices. I find this disconcerting.

What can you tell me about my order (#5001420)? Your website said the item was "In Stock" when I ordered it, and still says that now too (here).

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

My order has been "pending" for a month now. I sent another message telling them to consider it canceled, but of course got no response. At least it hasn't been charged to my card so far. If it ever is, I'll simply dispute it with the credit card company. It bothers me that this place now has my card number, though.

I too have had trouble with Guitar Files. I ordered several items and two weeks have gone without shipping confirmation. I've sent three email notices with no response to any of them

There is also no customer service phone number on the site at all. I Googled the phone number and came up with one, but every time I try to call, it's busy.

I joined this site to see if I could track down brianc to see what the deal was. I understand he works there or something to that effect.

BrianC....WHAT'S THE DEAL?

hello,

I just joined to reply to this thread. They took my money too, about a month ago. Shipment still pending. No response to the emails i send. I've lost business because of Guitar Files. Unhappy customer/victim.

I, too, feel underserviced. I have been waiting for weeks with no estimation of when I will recieve my order. If this company is so willing to quickly transfer our funds to their accounts, then they should provide swift communication as well. I identify with the sentiment from Dude Gibbs. For many of us, music is not just a hobby. It is, also, our business. The Guitar Files seems to be overlooking the professional impact on the consumer that results from their unprofessionalism.

I joined this forum just to respond to this thread. I placed an order on August 31st with The Guitar Files. After two weeks and no guitar, and no responses to my E-Mails, I was forced to file a PayPal claim. Scarily enough, in the middle of the claim PayPal went straight to the escalation phase. That leads me to believe that there is a definite problem with the company, as I would prefer to have the guitar I ordered. The only E-Mail I ever got from them was the auto response from PayPal, I didn't even get an order confirmation from them.

There's no chance of any updates/E-Mails going into a Spam folder, as I don't have one. I own the domain, and even if there was a "typo" in the user name field, I'd still get any E-Mails that they would send. I figured that there might be a delay in shipping because they're in Delaware and could have gotten hit by Irene, but after two weeks and no E-Mails or phone calls, it was time to give up. I found this thread while searching for them, I wish I had found it before I placed my order.

I know that things come up, as I own a small business myself, but I let people know right away if there's any issues with things taking longer than my stated wait times.

As for any claims of me joining just to badmouth them - my user name is my company name, and I post under the name dominus on KVR and Seymour Duncan's forum. (dominus was already taken here.)
