Anyone ever dealt with Guitarfiles.com?

Here we go guys. Placed an order on July 19, 2010 for a StageLine rack. Guess what? Still have not received.

This is following a very long string of promises from Brian to do something about it. Item was apparently backordered, though it did (and still does) list as "In Stock" on their site.

Now Brian does not seem to want to return my emails or answer the phone, and the GuitarFiles voicemail is also full.

This does not bode well for GuitarFiles. I have been a very patient customer, but have had just about enough of being ignored. I don't see what options I have left, other than to start complaining to the BBB. I was patient when the item was not in stock although it was sold to me that way. I was patient when Brian professed a supplier shortage. I would understand if the item could never be had or was out of production, but I would at the very least expect some type of response; some semblance of respect for others' hard-earned money.

Brian, if you're out there, what on earth are you doing with your business? :help:

I too am having issues with Guitarfiles. I placed an orderfor a Maxon Overdrive pedal on 11/02/11. The item showed in stock on their web page and 2-3 days shipping time. To date, I have not received the item. I tried calling them today and became worried when the phone just rang and then a beep, which I can only assume was the signal to leave a message. I would have expected some sort of recorded message indicating the business name, business hours, etc. I did receive an email order update from them on 11/08, indicating my order was in the "Processing" stage. As of today, it still shows in the procesing stage and they have already hit my credit card with the charges. This is my first time doing business with them. They seemed legitimate when I placed the order. Now I am not so sure.

In my previous post, I stated the problems I was having with Guitarfiles. Well, all is well that ends well. I received the item I ordered yesterday. After several emails, the last one indicating that I was going to file a complaint to the BBB, I did finally get a response from them. It's a bit sad that it took a threat of complaint to get them to respond. If they can improve on their customer service, update order status on their webpage as well as, respond in a timely fashion to customer emails, then I would condider doing business with them again. They appear to have a lot to offer.

Ironically, I seem to be another on the list. I too joined just to respond to the problems I am having with this Guitarfiles company. Although as a fellow Bass player I have a feeling I'll be glad I joined. Is there anything we can do about them? It seems the list of complaints is endless.Their site brags about their customer importance but I can't get a response to an E-mail or even a phone call. It is crazy. Jimi

Ugh, I ordered an item last Wednesday that was In Stock and 'ships within 1-2 business days.'

Order is still pending?

It's a Christmas gift (student guitar) for my nephew and I fear it won't arrive in time. Brian won't return emails and I can't reach anyone by phone. How do I get a response?

Should I order the item from another site and report Guitar Files to BBB?

I just saw this forum and had to post.. Jackson you and me both have ordered for this christmas from them. I have emailed...phoned... left messages.. and nothing! But, I did post on their forums: "Anyone seen the owner =\ haven't been able to get in contact with him". That's all i said, didnt mention for an order or anything and they deleted it!! I am worried now =( I am gonna have to stop this order some how. By reading this unless I get some type of contact.. I dont know what I got myself into.

my boyfriend had ordered me a guitar from this guitar files place too. same situation, item was in stock and supposed to ship within 1-2 days.. welp that was on december 6th and here it is a month later and still no guitar. he has tried on numerous occasions to contact these people and there has been nothing to him in response. this is a terrible business and now their website is "offline" and he is unable to cancel the order to order it from somewhere else.

I ordered 12/10/11. Order #: 5001949
Guitar & amp in stock. No delivery as of yet (1/6/12).
Now both the website is off line and the telephone number non functional.
I used a debit card to pay. Mistake! There is no protection like with credit cards.
Could someone at Guitar Files assist? If not, the only approach is through BBB.
Please advise. S
