Anyone got a holoflash bass?

I'm planning on building a 5 string bass with the holoflash film for the finish, but damn the only place that has it is Reverb and the shipping is more then the film itself plus import tax and the time it takes to get here (4 months), but i still ended up buying it.

I remember seeing those Spectors and old Kramers with the finish and they look so badass and they look crazy good on stage with the stage lights giving them this glow.

I just holoflashed one of my Kramer Forums. It was pretty easy and not too bad for the first time.

Thanks! Unfortunately no but here's what I checked out before I did it:



You can find the Iron under 'sealing iron' name online or in hobby stores. The application was a piece of cake. I thought it'll be much harder to do it. Some people has recommended me-high heat settings for the iron but mine worked best around wide open. I guess it depends on the iron and you can go from mid-hot all the way up until the sweet spot. You can feel it once it starts sticking. The key is to do multiple smaller and random shapes sometimes overlaying each other partially to get a good result.

Thanks. Hell yea. It's a keeper. I was about to refinish it to fluorescent yellow but the film and sealing iron was about 50 bucks so I had nothing to lose with messing it up before a refin. Turned out so good so I saved some serious money opting out the refinish.
