Bassic83 said:Charlie- just cuz it sez "Columbian" does not imply, nor should it, that the coffee comes from the Columbia River Gorge, nor does it hold any degree from an Ivy League skool...lol...![]()

Yes, but "Columbia" is an overall reference to the United States. Either way, we don't grow any comparable amount of coffee here.Bassic83 said:Charlie- just cuz it sez "Columbian" does not imply, nor should it, that the coffee comes from the Columbia River Gorge, nor does it hold any degree from an Ivy League skool...lol...![]()

What do you think of coffee presses, like Bodum and such?

I ran a baking soda/water mix through my coffee maker and it seems to do a real good job of getting that acidic old coffee taste out. Try it if you think your coffee is starting to taste a bit off.

I've decided to go the route of French Press - just have to order one. I'm not satisfied with auto-drip. I feel like I can't get my coffee strong enough and I'm wondering how much flavor the filter is keeping out of the pot. French Press is supposed to taste better so I'm trying it out. I'm always looking for ways to improve my coffee!! For me its kind of like searching for tone with bass - it never ends.
