ehhh i don't like vail or beaver creek...too packed...snow is hard...

steamboat rocks, its truly the best in CO..IMO of course =). the snow is so light n fluffy there hah.

PLUS

the halfpipe at vail is mediocre, doesn't really have a good park in general but steamboat has a crazy terrain park..huge pipe, butter boxes n kickers mm

So anyone have any recomendations for a board relatively cheap?

Not sure if they still make it, but up until the last time I checked O'Brien made a model called the Buzz. It was fairly cheap, good quality, and easy to learn on. That was my first board, I used it for about four years before buying my professional-quality setup.
