Anyone into expensive flashlights?

Hehe... I got a citizen citation award from a cheap shot. Well, not exactly the true definition of a cheap shot... but it was to me! I'll take it where I can get it.

Surefires are sick!!! My buddy has one...the thing will seriously temporarily blind anyone you shine it at. He used it to control beligerant drunks when he was a bouncer.

Not to mention the build qaulity, materials, etc...is top notch.

Get a Surefire, they're fun.

They look neat, but I sure as heck don't spend my OWN money on this stuff. The City buys rechargable Mags, so that is what I use.

I figured that would be in your yearly allowance, but at least they provide you with a light. I don't think the guys here even get City provided lights, everyone seems to have different lights.

I looked up the Surefires, and I'm pretty sure one of their models are what we have mounted on our Remington 870s. The rechargable Mags stay in the cruiser, so they are all shared.

I have a flashlight in every room in my house, and yes, they all have fresh battereies in them!

I also have 3 battery powered radios which all have fresh batteries in them too.

I'm perpared!

I'm not sure how many cases of bourbon I have on hand though.

Good to hear. I've been checking out the Inova lights...nice stuff. Seems to get great review. I like the X5 tactical...I'm probably gonna get one. I'll post a review when I do.

Yes. I got the X1 mainly for practical reasons: the other ones use those funny batteries which are insanely expensive here in Norway. So the X1 is small, bright, unbreakable, and runs on a very common AA battery. Very practical. Should be in every gigbag.

I wouldn't have this flashlight if I hadn't won it in a contest because it usually costs $200 and I would personally never pay $200 for a flashlight. It's pretty freakin' cool though.

Yeah, when I was a bouncer, I used it to temporarily blind some ###hole trying to beat the crap out of a woman.

When I bounced my blinding wepon of choice was the Hubblelight. Really cool light and waterproof so it repeled beer!

i've got a surefire G2. I play airsoft. It is definitely helpful.

Tough and cheap too. And it mounts in a Guarder Tactical Handguard.

Fun to blind your friends with too...

Thanks buddy. I checked out the SureFire website, but I did not see the one I want. The one I remember Mulder using had the bulb part sticking out past the end of the flashlight.

It's hard to find "good deals" on new Surefires because Surefire strictly controls the pricing.
