Anyone like black Basses with maple necks?

If the guard is black, it's one of my least favorite color schemes.

If the guard is single ply white, or gold, I think they are things of sheer beauty.

If my instrument is going to be all black on the body, I want an ebony board a matching headstock, and a single ply guard (but not black hardware).

Nope, but I bet every hick out there dreams of a white body with a red neck. LOL

Gotcha right here bro:

Not my favorite but if someone uses an instrument in that color scheme to be inspired to play their best, I'm all for it. There have been questions over the decades about what type of gear was used for certain recordings. I don't recall anyone asking about the color scheme of an instrument used on a particular record unless the player was known to have multiple instruments and it was used to identify which one it was. It can (and often does) play into the visuals at gigs, so there is the whole theme consistency aspect of it (black pointy bass = metal, white pointy bass = Bootsy). The important thing is that you play it and sound good.

I have a black bass with a maple neck. I like this one. I probably would not like every one. I would probably like this bass if it were a different color with a different neck. Maybe not the exact same amount of like. Who knows.
I had pictures on another compooter. Compooter no worky no more. Sad.
