well, i like p and j basses and thats what i play. i could say that every custom with a special top and wooden pickup covers a ramp etc etc was boring because there is SO many of them but i don't because i appreciate that other people like them

the are probably so expensive because they are just designed for the japanese home market, they don't care what they cost anywhere else. the japanese have been build there own boutique Js for years, there are brands that people see - atelier z etc, and plenty of others that you rarely see - bacchus and some you never see - these

i didn't say anything about the cost i just said they looked nice

Yeah, it's really very cool. There's an entire district in Tokyo called Ochanomizu that's literally guitar shop after guitar shop lined up along the two main streets. You can get lost there for days and love every minute of it! :D

as u know, except on japan

the dealer of fodera in japan is the largest dealer, the bottom-waves is a new brand est by the fodera dealer in japan in 2005 or 2006. but in fact, few years ago, they had did many mod works for the customers, what is update the yamahas, stingrays or others basses have aero pus and mike pope preamp. so u must see many basses have aero pus and mike pope preamp in japan. include john patitucci model or a vintage stingray.
fodera reissue the mike pope outboard preamp stomp box this year named model 2006 put on sale japan only.

guys, you should to see another custom shop brand for vintage style basses building named "atelier z"
the "groove shoppe" said they built the finest bolt-on guitars and basses in the wolrd.
richard bona have got their custom bass.
