Anyone still using the Barber Linden EQ?

Where do you guys put the Linden in your chain?

After everything else except my LPF/HPF and preamp/DI. But I have seen some who run it earlier in the chain. I prefer to have it, if nothing else, after my drive pedals to help tame the drives, since I run ampless much of the time.

It’s a buffer. The Vitalizer is one of the buffers that converts high impedance signal that are more likely to degrade the sound quality by picking up noise or losing higher frequency sound while going through the wiring and electric circuits to low impedance signal that are less likely to be affected by those problems.

I only just now did reading on what the Linden is, and.....

There are pedals that do barely as much as this does, at twice or 3x the price. Sheesh.

The Linden is an awesome pedal, especially for the price.

I was trying to convince my self to try let mine go when the Broughton P-15 shows up, but lets be honest, I'm probably not gonna. LOL

That's how I have my EQ as well a little north of 9 for treble and a little north of 3 for bass.

Does anyone know at what frequency the bass is cut when the input toggle is in the middle position? I don’t seem to notice much of a difference with my 4 strings p basses compared to the left position

I buy booteeky pedals..and always GO BACK to the LINDEN...with that and SOURCE AUDIO AFTER SHOCK...It's pretty much it. I'm now going for ease of use, as I do classic rock and gets me where I want to be without much over thinking

I just received one of these yesterday from the classifieds - wow - love it! It's too bad these aren't in production. Going to explore all of the settings, but settled on this setting to try for church this morning - both switches left, treble about 9:30-10:00 and bass about 2:30-3:00 or so. I'm inexperienced with describing all the subtleties of bass tone, but what I can say is that "tone butter" (from an earlier post) is a great word for it! My clean tone right now will be strictly with the Linden for a while as I explore all of the switch settings in more detail - along with pedal order. Best pedal I've used in a while!

If it were my setup, I would put the Edison before the Linden to mimic a tube gain stage into an eq (kind of like an amp). I've been wanting an Edison for a while so I could try that setup. I'm pretty sure the combo will sound fantastic, so let us know how it works out

I may get shot for saying this but I think the Linden sounds better than the P15. I use the Linden way more. P15 is cool dont get me wrong...and when the tube warms up that puppy sounds great but the Linden is just warm and nice right out of the gate.

Do you still stand by this? I have a P15, but sometimes I wish I had something smaller for band rehearsal. Thanks.

Well, they are different but the linden is designed to be the pedal version of that sound and it is known to do it well. Fliptop is another option.
