Anyone using four 15's?

This is a cool idea. How exactly would he vent it? Would it perform up to modern standards in terms of frequency response?
Calculate the internal volume of the cabinet and use a box program to determine the required venting. It might be pretty good, the cross-firing driver arrangement is far superior to the average 4x.

During the brief life of Beck, Bogert and Appice, Tim used (IIRC) four 4x15 Altec loaded custom built cabinets. He drove them with at least two Sunn Coliseum Bass amps turned up to about 8 (IIRC) to get the proper "clipping frequencies".

In an interview for Guitar Player (before the days of BP), Tim said that he used one 4x15 and one Coliseum Bass amp in the studio and they had to put him in another room because he was so loud...

I've never seen a photo of that monster rig...but love its tone!!!

Lemmy uses 2, 4x15 and 2, 4x12 Marshall cabs with 2 Marshall Super Bass 100's. Not that there's a whole lot of bass in Lemmy's bass rig, I believe he cranks the high & mids and rolls off all the bass and then drives the crap out of everything.

A guy I know gigs with a Marshall 4x15 slant cab and a Super Bass 100 and everyone who see's him play live bows in reverence to him. He loves the sound, hate loading out late @ night though.

He says he gets 2 sounds with his rig, a ton of bass or a ton of mid but both are pretty damn good.

I briefly considered picking up a second Bergantino NV215, but try as I might, I really couldn't find a situation where one NV215 wasn't loud enough. :D Just feed it @ 400 tube watts, and let 'er rip!!! :bassist::bassist::bassist:

Of course, then I picked up an NV610, and I just can't wait for a gig where I can use them both! :D
