You have piqued my interest
10 points for using "piqued" correctly instead of "peaked."
Damn. I was gonna say "My interest already peaked" but you got there first.

Back on topic - yeah, count me in. I've played around and found some settings that produce tones I really like, but I know room dynamics can throw that off, so putting some science behind it would be cool.

Not to be confused with Piquet of the Nelson variety...

Im excited to learn anything new about EQ. I’ve gone from knowing nothing about eq and eq’ing too much, to knowing something about eq’ing and still eq’ing too much, to knowing everything about eq and eq’ing too much, back to knowing nothing about eq’ing and going 12 on every knob.
So, yeah, help me out.
Thanks

Usually when I hear a line like that, I suspect that someone's trying to sell me something :eyebrow:, but in this case I'm staying cautiously optimistic. Sub'd
Introducing the new EQ-minator 5000. It can be yours for only 199 payments of $19.95. Act now and receive a free transcongobulator power cable at no change. Just pay the separate processing and handling fee. Act now, quantities are limited. :roflmao:

I have been playing bass and designing pro audio gear for 4 decades. I understand the Physics behind most of what’s going on in a bass guitar. I’ve been doing pro audio for close to 50 years.

Still, I’m open to new approaches to things. And I freely admit I don’t understand what people are talking about when they say “punch”. I’ve never used that term.

Explain away. I might learn something.
